I go early in the morning as the sun is rising. It looks beautiful on the west side of the lake. Very clean area, as usual in Minnesota 🌊♥️

Nice big park great way to get some exercise. One of the largest lakes in St Paul. Great to bring families to have a fun day can grill or swim on the beach. Things to do golf, biking, row boat rentals, canoe, picnic areas, tennis courts, kayak and hiking.

Gorgeous park, plenty of parking and outdoor grilling areas, plenty of seating in well appointed areas. Beautiful canopy of trees. What more can I say!

Lovely park with many amenities and activities for all ages. Many unique instillations. Good parking options, nice paddling lake, well maintained beach, as well as walking/biking trails, water activities for kids and volleyball area. More bathroom open hours and more trash cans would be appreciated.

Great city park. There is a nice walking path around the lake, playgrounds, picnic areas, and a beach.

I grew up in the era when Phalen Park was an open invitation to hotrodders who sped around the lake like a racing track. Decades ago the road was terminated on the northwest side so the park is much more peaceful. The lake used to have a diving dock. Wish it still did but all in all the lake and the park is much improved. The native plantings along the shoreline are beautiful, and there is a wetland area with cattails where thousands of fireflies congregate at night. The picnic shelters could use a facelift but are definitely a park attraction for large groups. Nearby is a playset for kids, and across the road is a public golf course. China donated a gorgeous pagoda and it is well worth seeing. The park also has miles of trails connected by foot bridges. If you walk, bike, picnic, kayak, canoe, paddle board, Dragon Boat race, swim or play, Phalen is a very special place on the East Side of St. Paul easily accessible from highway 61.

This is a nice park for walking my older dog, she can't go too far. The park has a small pond and the path loops. There's also benches around too. Geese hangout here. There's a playground. Parking is on the south side of the park.

A lovely space full of oak trees, crows and kids playing. There is a great fire ring to sit around a good fire (needs reservation).

We had my son’s 11th birthday party at D1 and Kris and his staff did not disappoint! The kids had such a blast the entire time playing dodgeball, tug of war and football as well as racing each other pushing the sleds. They were all exhausted when
