The pho was great, one of the best broth among all the viet restaurants I have ever tried. The viet coffee was good as others. They even have very decent fried chicken. The price value plus the portion are very very decent. Strong recommend.

This is the BEST place we have ever tried!! My family and I always comes here and I would get the same dish. It’s always pho and fried rice. It’s affordable and the portion are always worth the money. The owner is also really really sweet Their boba is not my cup of tea because I’m not a fan of crush ice but overall the food is 10/10!!!

The restaurant has a lovely decor and cozy ambiance. It felt warm and authentic, even the menu is mainly in Vietnamese. The service was fast and friendly. The food was above average and it was reasonably priced.

After over 35 years of visiting Vietnamese establishments, I've come to enjoy Pho Saigon as one of my most favorite. In the mid 80s all you had was one tiny little hole in the wall up on New Britain avenue in the Elmwood district Now Vietnamese food is a staple of greater Hartford. When I walked into pho Saigon recently, I got the feeling that I'm halfway in America and halfway in Saigon somewhere. There is very little English being spoken and somehow all of the staff learn their way around the different crowd of diners who come and go. The lead server comes gliding out to you to tell you where to go without speaking. He gets you a menu as he's doing two other things at the same time. You give him your order from a vast Vietnamese menu and within 10 to 12 minutes out comes exactly what you ordered, piping hot, and made specifically as the menu shows it. The food is absolutely delectable, the cuisine is definitively Vietnamese, and the server leaves you alone to enjoy your entire meal.. The thing that is so nice about this restaurant is there's no pomp there is no pretense and there certainly is not any sale or selling of the dishes. It is order what you order, get what you get ,eat what you eat and enjoy it if you choose. If not you still will be back to try another item on the menu. Guaranteed. I urge anyone who comes down New Britain Avenue to slow down and pull in to pho Saigon and try even an appetizer like Vietnamese ravioli or crispy veggie wrap, pork an shrimp roll , etc. All items on the menu are modestly priced, and whatever it is you do spend it goes a long way from your dish to your belly. Look for the big sign, can't miss it, open the inviting front door, and sit down to enjoy a truly authentic Vietnamese culinary experience!

Food was great. A good options for vegetarian people as well. Nice and clean. If you're not comfortable with chopsticks, they do provide other cutleries. Depending on what you're ordering. Price was decent. For 3 ppl it costed $55

What can I say. Its authentic Vietnamese food. The appetizers are very generous portions, excellent pho, and modest prices. Everything we ordered was hand made and grilled to prefection. The man who runs it is very nice and a bit goofy. He made us laugh and made us feel comfortable. We were most likely the only English speaking customers there!

Lets start by saying I never knew this place was here. Vietnamese Iced coffee is one of, if not the best Ive had recently. Pho broth reminded me of my mothers broth growing up. (Its very good but dont kill me mom...Ive had better). But lets say this is the first time I got a small bowl and wished I got the large. Meat was tender and they have a lot of options. I would definitely return for the Pho. Inside is clean and has a decent amount of seating. Parking is convenient. Staff very polite and quick. Cost was similar to many other places in the area. I did get a banh mi to go. Will update review after I try it. If you're looking for a new place to try, stop in here and get yourself a bowl. Update: Banh Mi was ok (id give it 2.5 stars. Probably wouldnt get it again) Still looking for the best banh mi in CT. If you know a place let me know!

Some of the best pho around. As soon as you walk in you can smell the aroma. Although the place looks a little sketchy from the outside, the inside is clean and cozy. Place is run by an old Vietnamese couple, although during rush hour it can take a while sometimes, it is made up for by the food and nice to know your supporting a family.
