Holy smokes, this place is ahhhhmazing! Knocks my socks off Every. Single. Time. This is my fave pho spot in the valley. Paid $33 for 2 hearty dishes tonight: #45 which consists of glass noodles, cucumber, carrots, jicama slices, egg roll, you can choose from charbroiled beef or pork (I opted for beef this time). I drizzle some fresh lime on top along with the red chili sauce. It teleports me to heaven for a quick moment. We also got the chicken pho soup and let me Tell you, that broth will bring you back to health when you have a cold. You can taste the love they made it with. Portions are super hearty, service is always quick, and prices are great for the quality. I definitely recommend this spot, been coming here for 10 years. It definitely gets super packed at times, so just be patient if it’s crazy busy. The wait time is never too long.
If you want delicious pho in a HUGE quantity, then Pho So 1 is the place to go. Im not sure if there's parking behind the store as it's located on a busy street. Every time I've come here, I've been lucky to find street parking (metered). The prices here are great. I like to call them "inflation busters" because they didn't exorbitantly raise them like other restaurants. For that reason, it remains a staple in the valley and a strong competitor to other chains in the area. The broth is delicious and the meat portions are generous. I always come here when I'm craving pho. There's a 3% service charge if you plan to pay by credit card, no minimum, if that's something that you need to know. Haven't dined in the location since I always order takeout but it is always busy during dinner time, which I always attribute to really great quality. (7/50--2024)
A hidden gem! The ambiance at Phở Số 1 is the perfect blend of cozy and stylish. It's an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a casual get-together with friends. The service was friendly and prompt, ensuring our glasses were never empty. But what truly stood out was the food. Every dish was a masterpiece. The lemongrass chicken was tender and aromatic, and the coconut milk dessert left a sweet memory that lingers. Can't recommend this place enough!
We came with the big group. When they brought out Phở but didn't bring the vegetables (beansprout, lemons, basil...) on the side for us even though they have a lot of young servers at that time. We have to ask several times, then by the time we had those veggies on the table, our Phở already got cold. I ordered the strawberries smoothie but tasted so sour, I told the guy (I think he's the owner), but he just looked at me and the drink then walked away without saying or accommodating anything. Also, I ordered the Eggrolls, but they gave my order to someone else instead of me. What a terrible service I have never seen 🙄
The pho was very flavorful and delicious! I would definitely order more pho from this place. Customer service was ok. The server who took our order and brought our food doesn’t really talk much or acknowledge you while you’re there. He doesn’t seem happy to work there lol So whatever you need you better tell them while you’re ordering your food, they don’t check on you or bring your check to you. You gotta go to the cashier to pay for your food.
There's a lot of great food here, but some of it is so-so. Really one of the best, most authentic pho places in the valley. I love the BBQ pork!
Although the exterior is a bit on the "wear n' tear" side....the quality and quantity of the food is worth overlooking the restaurants older appearance. Upon sitting at a table, we were waited on quickly and brought complimentry glass of water. A short few minutes later order was taken...about 10 minutes ago by and we are brought our meals. The food is amazing! The staff wait on you without the constant "everything ok". It doesn't matter if your going in with a party of 2 or a party of 6 Pho So 1 is well worth giving a try for anyone seeking an authentic change to the traditional burger or burrito offered.
One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in 20+ years in the SFV. Horrible service from the hosts, cooks, and servers. No eye contact, no responses, no checking. Lady at the table next to us asked 3 different people for a small bowl, all 3 ignored her and didn't even tell her who to ask. Shrimp in my girlfriends Pho had poop in every single one, she had to take it out herself before eating, and she still ended up throwing up for the next two days. Honest to god the worst Pho restaurant in the valley, do not eat here ever.
Menu has a vegetarian section- the vermicelli was delicious, as was the Vietnamese pancake; both come with a non-fish sauce as an option. Drinks were also great, especially the green Thai tea. Quick and friendly service.
This place has one of the best pho ever Update October 2023 Don't get me wrong, it's still good. But I'd be lying if I said everything stayed the same. The meat definitely looked and tasted different. But other than that, Tripe and tendon tasted the
Really Really Amazing food!! We got the mushroom soup and noodle salad. Excellent! Our second time going there and we love it. Everything looks so good. Even if your not Vegan or Vegetarian you will still love this place.
