Honestly, this was unexpectedly one of the best things I've done in 2023. My sister took me here when I was visiting from Charlotte, NC, and I love oddities, but I was absolutely blown away by the history lesson I got during my visit. The owner is amazingly knowledgeable about the history of Dime Museums, and was absolutely hilarious in giving us our tour. You may ask yourself, why would I ever want to know about the history of Dime Museums? The bigger question is, WHY DON'T YOU KNOW THE HISTORY OF DIME MUSEUMS!!! I am not going to spoil anything about the tour, because this is something you absolutely need to do yourself, and as far as history goes, if you have ever been to any Museum anywhere, you have Dime Museums to thank for Museums existing in general. Red the Sword Swallower is also an absolute killer part of the show and has some truly amazing stories and knowledge that we were lucky enough to get him to share with us.
easily the COOLEST place I have been in my entire life!!! it’s hard to even put into words how amazing this place was.
the tour took about 2 to 2.5 hours but I could’ve spent at least 5 or 6 hours there looking at and learning about everything. there’s antiques and oddities everywhere, it’s incredible. everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable.
I’ve only been in augusta about a year but I’m disappointed I waited that long to check this place out. If you’re from augusta and have never been you need to check it out asap and if you’re just visiting you need to put it at the top of your list of places to go.
100000/10 experience and I’m so SO excited to visit again!!!
I took my family there not knowing exactly what it was going to be like. The cost was just under $18 a person and the tour was over 2 hours long. Peter the owner was amazingly friendly and thorough. He treated my 10 year old daughter like she was his. At the end of the museum tour there was a blockhead sword swallower (pun intended) that performed. The oldest living sword swallower jn the country from my understanding.
Go there and support this wacky small business. Oh and he sells great coffee and espresso that crushes Starbucks and most definitely much cheaper.
Call or email to reserve a spot on the tour.
Incredible experience if you want something a little different. Set aside a couple hours, you definitely get your moneys worth. Also take a light jacket, it can get chilly in the exhibits on cold days. Staff is fantastic. You won’t be disappointed.
We stopped by during the Ironman weekend. This is an surprising interesting mix of learning the history of dime museums while experiencing a dime museum. We laughed, we learned and we’d definitely come back- it’s always growing and changing.
Literally the most interesting thing in Augusta. The museum is a really unique space, and Pexcho is a fantastic storyteller. I can’t recommend it enough. I hope it stays open forever.
I highly recommend visiting the museum, it's great for families with kids 6+
Plenty of oddities and interesting information given by the best tour guide possible.

Love the smoothies and juices here. They were delicious to say the least. Beautiful art work throughout and great atmosphere. They had a live dj playing underground techno. This is a must spot around here.
GLUTEN FREE PIZZA 10/10!!!! I called in advance to inquire about gluten free pizza and they happily let me know that they do indeed have a cauliflower crust gluten free pizza option. They can customize it in anyway Iâd like! I was thrilled to find
I stopped by here on a whim after getting a massage down the street. The food was absolutely delicious! The staff & what I assume was the owner were fantastic. It's in an old house, so I thought it was kind of weird at first sitting in a former bedro
Excellent brewery! Their vibe was amazing and their beer was even better. They had something for everyone, as I like more hops and my wife is more on the sweeter smooth side. We were able to grab a flight to get both of our flavor preferences. AND Th
We recently arranged a field trip to see the museum, and more specifically, an installation of art work honoring women artists. The space was clean, elegant, warm, and inviting. The installation was amazing with beautiful artwork in several different
I loved the vibe if the place! It has great indoor and outdoor seating. The food was wonderful, especially the pretzel bites. I could literally spend all day here just tasting beers! What a fun time!
Had the Black Eye sandwich and my boyfriend had the grilled cheese with all the fixings. Weâre from VA and are here visiting our friends. Weâre very sad that we donât have this in our city in VA but will definitely be back the next time we visi
Every time we come to Augusta itâs a must we stop and grab us a lovely juicy cheese burger!Hands down the best burger I have ever had! Everything is cooked to order! 10/10 totally recommend will definitely be back
Great place to head out for a walk or run, but I would not go alone, as going on the canal path side can be rather solitary. Dog-friendly, bathrooms. Very pretty. There is a picnic table under an overhang outside the bathrooms.
