One of my parents goes here regularly and they are so nice and remember the order. Always good food and good people! Highly recommend eating here. This place is all of the above from family eating to romantic dining with your partner.
I love the cozy atmosphere of this restaurant, however, the food was definitely a miss. The rice had some color but no flavor, the chicken didn't really taste fresh and there was this white sauce drizzled on the top of the chicken (Was kind of tangy/sour tasting; was not it and should be offered on the side.) I was hoping this place was as good as Tanoor Kabob. But today, that was not the case. It has potential, and needs work. The staff was friendly, and kind which was inviting. The culture and layout of the place give a home feeling, but the menu gives fast food vibes. Overall 3 out of 5 stars For reference, I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate P.S. I asked for a refund and the owner offered to remake the food and give me a refund. He was very apologetic and sincere which I appreciate so much. Customer service 10/10. I wish I liked their food.
We had the Mediterranean beef, the meat was tough, and not much taste. Have to pay extra for hot sauce. We will go back to restaurant on lake Street.
Great, fast, and friendly service every time. Food is delicious and well prepared. Pictured is a Kafta Kabob Sandwich. It is minced lamb and beef mixed with onions, parsley, and lightly spiced. Had habenero, jalapeño garlic, and garlic sauces to go with it. All are tasty. Good to the last bite! Will return soon.
Chicken Kebab Plate with Hummus A simple, yet delicious, workday lunch. Cheers to a not-so-artsy meal at a not-so-famous Mediterranean restaurant located in downtown Forest Park. . . A glance at the spread speaks volumes of how healthy it is. Chicken, rice, grilled veggies, hummus, and olive oil. Could it be more balanced? Not just healthy, the chicken was very tender and flavorful, the rice not at all sticky, the veggies perfectly done, and the hummus so fresh and tangy. It couldn’t get better in terms of nutrition too. Protein from chicken; carbs from rice and hummus; fats from olive oil. . 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 A go-to type place when we don’t feel like spending the big bucks or fighting the hustle-bustle of the city, yet would want our meal to be delicious and of course, healthy. Every item on their menu is great. Especially, their shawarmas. Have fun..!!

My wife and I stopped in for burgers. Nothing has changed. I used to go there with my dad back in 1966 thru 1969. We walked up the street from where we lived to get burgers every Friday Night. Glad it has not changed. Brought back wonderful memories.
