Pete's Lakefront Motel, LLC - Motel in Geneva - 5225 Old Lake Rd, USA

We wanted a lakeside place and this fit the bill. We requested a king with lakeview. And boy did they deliver! We had perfect weather and were content to just spend time sitting outside by our room door. Modest but adequate room but the view was spectacular. If there are any negatives to consider I would say there is barely enough parking and we had to go down 8-10 steps to get to our room (#11). But easy walking to the strip. Great value. Clean with courteous staff. We will definitely be back.

The price is cheap for the view you will get but the cleaning service doesn't know the word clean. The manager of the cleaning agency verbally assaulted me & tried to physically assault me. I strip the bed wherever I stay & use my own linens. While doing so I seen a dead bug under the comforter. I also noticed several black hairs, stains & small black dots that looked to maybe be some kind of dead bug. (Not bed bugs) I couldn't tell you the last time the floors were mopped. Don't go barefoot! The staff at Pete's are very nice & took care of my broken coffee pot right away. Since I'm charge for any incidents I brought it to their attention right away, also the curtain rod was broke, but it didn't really cuz any problems. AC worked great! We stayed in room 11, bed was comfy. The vent in the bathroom was really loud. Shower was nice, with hot water but not a lot of pressure. Big long black hair on the towel & a couple in the shower & one on the sink & toilet which made me think the room wasn't cleaned well. The room wasn't filthy but definitely needed a do over. This was our third time staying & although the room didn't meet our standards we will more than likely return because you can't beat the price with such a great view. They definitely need to hire a new cleaning crew.

Website info says “free onsite parking” and “free Wi-Fi”. There are 16 rooms here and only 13 parking spots and people park over the lines even further reducing the number of spots available. The Wi-Fi only works if you are within about 20-30 feet of the office. If not, you’re out of luck and regular 5G signal is terrible here on 3 different phone networks we have in the group with us. In room air conditioning is window units that don’t work great. Office staff not really much help. The “private beach” is not really what I would call a beach. It is about 30 yards wide and 5-10 feet deep. Would not stay here again.

My sister and I spent the night there. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful view of Lake Erie. The only drawback was the Wi-Fi was terrible. All the activities were within reasonable distance of the motel.

This hotel has so much potential however... Save your money and go elsewhere!!!! First the parking well lack there of, there we multiple cars double parked and one blocking other cars, the front desk person said there wasn't anything he could do he even called his boss. Umm not difficult to go to rooms find out who belongs to the cars and have them move. Ok next there's the steps to the lower level nothing anywhere telling us about concrete steps, then the best part.......the room, gracious where do I start? First impression, the bedding was what could only be described as from the 70s, the walls were dirty with multiple old nail holes the TV was on the wall to the left of the bed on the wall seriously on the wall not on an arm that moves so when you're in bed you could actually watch it but oh yeah wait there were storms when we stayed and the tv didn't work because they have direct tv, then there's the bathroom with the vent on it sounded like a truck, the towels that were there were seriously dirty! For real 2 of them were dirty, then the shower curtain, it was 2 inches from the edge so when you showered you got the curtain sticking to you, the the toilet paper holder that was so cheap the paper kept falling off. Then there's the main door, no lock other than the cheesey lock on the door and there was a big gap at the bottom, also no deadbolt or other security. There was a nice fridge however there was no ice anywhere in the motel. There was the light on the ceiling and that was it, no lamps on the bed table, notice table not tables as one would expect one for each side of the bed. This hotel had a spectacular view of the lake however it was overpriced and nowhere near worth what was paid. I would definitely NEVER stay here again. Seriously find a different place to stay when visiting GOTL.

This motel was nice, clean, friendly staff, and had a great view of the lake! Walking distance to the strip was great! Had a park a minute down the road that you could see a lot of the lake. I would 100% stay here again!

Room had ant traps on floor, no electrical outlets by the bed , ran out of hot water, not enough lighting. No parking , had to park in the street.

Check in 3p...the guy was kind helpful we had a king lake view room...room clean,bathroom adequate shower average..great location for price,you can swim at the Palm's they give you a wrist band...parking isn't great since ppl hog spaces love there's a store across street,steps kinda shabby if your mobility impaired be mindful....they lock up office early if assistance is needed be aware...good price to so that's a plus
