Excellent museum. A lot of taxidermy. Pigeon collection. Live reptiles and small animals/birds. Kids loved it. Run by high school students. $5/person.

A must-do field trip every year for my 5th grade class as we study ecosystems and the interdependence of species! The student docents are knowledgeable and engaging. This is a win-win-win for our elementary students, the high school leaders, and our community. Well done, PHS!

There is so much to say about this place I don't know where to start. They have over 30 live animals ranging from snakes to chinchillas to lizards to turtles to birds. They have a huge amazing taxidermy collection full of animals from all around the world, its amazing to be able to see some of those species up close. The docents are all very thoughtful and knowledgeable, talking about many different species and conservation stories, and they all care very much and have a passion for this work. Would greatly reccomended going on a guided tour on Saturdays.

Had a great time at the Petaluma Wildlife Museum with my three girls under 8 years old. The students working here are enthusiastic and able to provide good knowledge of the animals they care for. We really enjoyed petting the tortoise, bearded dragon, python and iguanas. Also a useful bit of information in these hot late summer / early fall days in Petaluma: they have AC.

So much fun! My 11 year old loved it and overcame his fears of touching the animals. The volunteers there were absolutely wonderful! 10 stars ✨

A true hidden gem in Petaluma. You'd never guess that there's a substantial wildlife museum with excellent guided tours tucked away on the campus of Petaluma High School. There are high end habitat dioramas and a live animal collection. Do yourself and your family a favor and find your way there during one of their events or Saturday open houses, you won't be disappointed - more likely you'll be delightfully surprised or outright amazed. (They put signs out on the street on days they're open)

When I signed my daughter up for private self-defense classes, I expected her to learn how to protect her head when/if she falls and what to do if someone grabs her arm, etc. But then the most unexpected change happened after only a few lessons with
