I had the grill chicken sandwich and it tasted great but it seemed to be missing something like a type of sauce. The waitress took a good minute to take our drink order and another long minute to take our order. I would go back but probably not for awhile and I would seldomly tell others to go eat there.
Seems like a pretty popular spot. Wasnt any open tables or spots at the bar. Had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. Bartender was quick and friendly. Once seated we had a few appetizers which were good. I'd recommend the ahi poke and the potato skins. For the main course I got the pot roast which was tender and juicy and delicious. Wasn't a big fan of the Brussel sprouts so maybe ask what the vegetable is before ordering since it doesn't specify on the menu. Overall I was happy and I would go again.
Food was fine, not bad but not knock-your-socks-off either. Parking and restaurant was surprisingly packed at ~ noon on a Tuesday? Very odd to me but what do I know? Atmosphere was very cozy, it was pouring rain outside, the restaurant was comfortable, with interesting things on the wall, a roaring fireplace. Service was pretty good as well.
Great atmosphere, very warm and inviting. Good for casual dining, business dining or first date… Dress up or down. SAUTEED PETRALE SOLE MEUNIERE**** absolutely amazing! So delicate and flavorful, I strongly recommend this dish if you like fish. I would have given 5 stars but the Calamari was over cooked. Very rubbery and way too crispy.
Perry's was nice. We sat outside on the patio, possibly the best part of the meal. There were disappointingly few vegetarian options. The food I had and tried was good but not exciting. Service was solid but not exceptional. Nothing was great, but everything was good. All that said, I will say it was an excellent value. Mind you, there was no alcohol. But I was very pleasantly surprised when the bill came.
Excellent meal. Great service from the waiter and manager. They brought one of our meal out late and comped us. Calamari, crab cakes, potato wedges and more. All so yummy. Definitely coming back. Oh I had the burger and it was real good.
Wife’s favorite is Petrale Sole. Lamb Shank is fabulous. Ruben Sandwich is so big I take 1/2 home for lunch tomorrow. Can’t beat the place. Never had a bad meal there and we go often
I went in with the fam for a week day dinner and to see the new restaurant. it used to be Wildfox which was a nice & decent place to take the family for a good meal. It was even a decent date place too. When we went in it was pretty busy. Lots of people, lots of noise. I understand that as it is a new place and everyone and their mama is curious so no big deal there. The look is clean, simple with accents of bay area culture and their own history which is a cool touch. Anyone can walk in and feel comfortable. Not too stuffy, definitely not a dive. Hardwood floors and open spaces so the noise really accumulates. It's even so noisy that if you call in to make a reservation you cant even have a conversation with the host/hostess due to the noise level. The nice thing is that the food is good. Pretty generous portions (your definitely not leaving hungry) and the pricing is in-line with portions, quality, etc. My only gripe is the fried chicken was a little dry but not the end of the world. We got calamari as an app and it was delicious. All 4 of us really liked it. Breading was right and it wasn't soggy which is one of my pet peeves. One thing that struck me as odd (really odd actually) is that there was a large table of older folks not far from us and one of them had a medical emergency that required the Novato FD to show up and cart this person out. Emergencies happen and that's just the human condition. What I thought was odd in this case was that their party just remained for a while and talked amongst themselves after NPD carted their friend out. :-0 Hopefully that person is OK. Anyways, swing by, check it out, have a drink (bar looks decently stocked BTW) and enjoy with friends & family. If you happen to be in the company of Friends & Family just be sure they are the ones to meet you at the hospital after they finish their meals & drinks lol.
