My wife, my son and myself decided to go here for Thanksgiving and after waiting to be seated for 30 minutes they told us they were no longer seating and only doing to go orders so we ordered a country skillet extra gravy (they decided to put none). A hearty man's breakfast and most of the food was very over cooked. They told us we couldn't order a kids meal so we ordered a my son an omelet, unfortunately they put a kids meal in the bag and not the omelet we paid for.
The dishonesty of the staff in times of pressure was intense. Just sitting in their lobby for 1.5 hours literally an hour after we ordered, just to get tossed a bag in the lobby and told to check it before we leave with no table or anything was plain unacceptable. They were telling people that they were short staffed which I understand but wouldn't it be better to just close down for the night. As we waited, an hour in after ordering our food they decided to let people start to get seated again as we were just up on arms like dang. How frustrating. I get home and our food in fact was wrong, I call to get a refund and get told, we will deal with it tomorrow. Like what the heck. Don't holiday meals come with a slice of pie? Oh yea forgot that one too.
I went here when it has been 3 years since I've last been. I loved this place then, but now it's since downgraded. I got hash browns, eggs and toast. The toast was burned black. Scrambled eggs were fine, same with hash browns. My grandma got a waffle, it wasn't bad but could be better. My other grandma got biscuits and gravy with mashed potatoes. She said it wasn't very good. I got the minute maid pink lemonade. It was good! My other grandma got coffee, again it was fine. Probably won't come in a year or two again, but worth a shot to try :) I understand they are low staffed and trying so I'm not trying to bash them. Good effort though!
My sister, daughter & I arrived at 10 and were seated about 4 minutes after walking in. Once seated the waitress seemed friendly and got our drink order. We ordered our food at around 10:15. At 10:54 we still hadn’t gotten our food nor were we updated how much longer it would be. Other people were being seated after us and served before us. Our waitress took an order behind us and my daughter was loudly explaining how she was hungry yet the waitress didn’t feel it was necessary to give us a update and walked away after getting the other tables order. I left $2 for the coffee and 2 sodas and we left. Will not be back after this experience.
Friend and I stopped by the Perkins in Fridley on a late Sunday morning for breakfast. Didn't have any wait and was seated promptly. Waiter came within two minutes and took our order. Food was delivered in an acceptable amount of time
Had the strawberry french toast with hash browns and bacon. Initially our server brought regular french toast but corrected within a minute and brought the strawberry version to the table. Usually Perkins provides fairly large portions of food so was a little disappointed the bread was thin as was the bacon. Strawberry syrup for the toast also lacked flavor. Wouldn't go with that option again. Large parking lot plus handicap accessible. Good place for a seniors breakfast but lacking for someone who wants a bit more!
Interesting charged for 4 drinks only had 2. Meatloaf was good but reported onion rings were burnt. She stated oh they are deepfried. I added and burnt! She just rang up total. Asked for 2 pieces of pie which took sometime. She said one was frozen and won't be able eat right away. Oh my!
Our visit was the first time we had brought our two year old grandson to a public restaurant. We really lucked out since Margaret was our server. She bent over backwards to accommodate our orders, made sure our food came quickly, she even helped to locate my daughter and grandson when they were visiting the lobby.
He had a wonderful time due to Margaret's attentiveness, patience in letting him order for himself. Though we're not always in the neighborhood, the next time we are at a nearby appointment, we will definitely include Margaret's Perkins in our trip!
Server was doing her best - however I think her best was equal to a five year old. She said the cook disappeared and so she could make our food if we wanted to order something. Lowkey the staff all seem like some sort of extraterrestrial beings that are almost doing a good enough job to pass as human. A strange but very entertaining atmosphere late at night. We were there for a long late night chat so the hour wait for food wasn’t a big deal and we got free pie for the wait. 3 stars because we couldn’t stop laughing at how bizarre the people working here were so we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
The food was good. Service was accommodating. Check out was interesting because the bills got mixed up so took a while to get it fixed. But all in all good. I bought a pie. That was great!

My husband and I enjoy splitting the bun noodle salad with beef. They give such generous portions that it's definitely enough for two, especially if you want to try some of their tasty appetizers. We've also enjoyed their cream cheese wontons, pork e

I come to Minneapolis a lot for work and being on the road makes food options limited. I come here for the fresh meat. I bring my little grill and make my own food. 10 out of 10 way better than eating from a fast food place.
