Perkins Restaurant & Bakery - Restaurant in Marshall - 1020 E Southview Dr, USA

I’m not a huge fan of places like Perkins, iHop, Denny’s, or Frying Pan. They all just seem dirty to me. During a work trip to Marshall, I was reminded why. My food was actually pretty good, I got the hibachi fried chicken skillet. My co-workers were split. One got a soup that they said was pretty generic tasting like something out of a can and the other said his meal was good. Service was good, no complaints there. This location needs some TLC. I could tell right from walking in, the exterior has degraded. The dining area was in pretty good condition but they say you can judge the cleanliness of a kitchen by looking at the bathroom. In this case I hope that’s not true because the bathroom had some of the strangest things going on I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. If the building had been cleaner and kept up this would have been one of the better experiences I’ve had at the above mentioned restaurants, in impeccable shape, this would have been a 4 star review but instead I can’t get the image of that toilet out of my head.

Took the family out for breakfast. Very poor food quality. Country fried steak was burned to a crisp. Muffin was hard on top. Scrambled eggs were overcooked as well. Server seemed annoyed when I said my food was burned. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Our server was great but the hostess was snippy. We had made reservations for 10AM when we got there I was informed they don't take reservations! We were given 2 different tables not together. We found table that worked ourselves. The server was very busy but took great care of us

We were in between breakfast rush and lunch rush, so it wasn't very busy. Service was pretty quick, but we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. The food was warm but not hot by any means. It was good but it would have been great if it had been hot.

Our server was Mary J. She was great at helping us pick out our Holiday Pies and getting them ready. Food was good, service was a 10. Pies were a big hit fir Thanksgiving.

The food is great and the waiters are very kind but they need more of them. The place was packed but only 2 waiters on duty. They did a nice job but service was obviously slower then other restaurant in the area.

usually go into the Marshall, MN once or twice a week for 6 muffins. went in yesterday and got my 6... they were dry, somewhat hard like they were day old or ???? I work right accross the parking lot from this store and it was lunch time and they were busy and didnt want to disrupt the other customers.....

The waitress was on top of everything and for a Sunday at Noon after church, that's a talent. Food was good. Nothing wrong but nothing fantastic. Atmosphere was semi-crowded and the table was sticky in spots. Overall, good place to eat with your family.
