In a great location but the lady at the front desk is horrible. I booked for a Valentine’s Day get away with the Valentine’s Day package and the room was not what I anticipated. Even down to the chocolate covered strawberries, they were last minute store bought items that arrived after I did. The old man was lovely by offering me water while I wait, but I left immediately after.
I did not stay at this beautiful bed & breakfast. I actually drove past it and immediately had to stop and take a look. I am a Travel Advisor & I quickly thought of some of my clients. I was able to get a sneak peep of a room. It is very spacious. There are some rooms that offer a jacuzzi. However, it only fits one person. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The only downside is that the kitchen is closed at this time. Which defeats the purpose of being at a bed and breakfast. I will say if you are staying for just one night, then no problem. I was told private gatherings are offered, and the clients are able to bring their own food. I would absolutely host a beautiful gathering here. I was informed that the owners do not work with travel advisors. I was a bit disappointed to hear that.
Very spacious suites, great sound proofing. A great escape from your typical corporate hotel. The Iron Bridge down the road is a great on theme dinner option, reserve early.
Convenient place to stay if seeing a concert at Merriweather. Friendly staff... beautiful comfortable room...as of 11 Aug 2023 no food service.
Came as a bridal hair and makeup team for RVA to preform services for a shoot and had a horribly incounter with blond woman who manages the property. She entered the room after both me and makeup artist finished setting up and began rasing her voice at us at how we were not allowed to put our things on the table or chairs because they cost thousands of dollars, then went on to say how we were supposed to provide drop cloths for the furniture and that she had said this to the photographer (the person who booked the room and wasnt there). We procced to tell her that we were uninformed of this but we understood and we would remove our thigs and place on our own portable tables. She then continued to enter our room three more times attempting to make small talk while we were trying to begin working. The makeup artist and I were both shock at the treatment we recived and promise to NEVER be back to this establishment.
Horrible, horrible experience. The blonde woman offered messages for more than $150 and did not tell you the price until after the service. She turned away customers in a wheelchair. Her message therapist is not licensed and is giving messages. The wife of the owner tells you one price and charges another. This is a shady operation. Horrible business people.
Beautiful setting &.decor. Excellent staff. Hidden away, only 20 minutes from Baltimore 45 mins. From DC. Relax with a couples massage.
An unusual and special place in the center of Columbia and Howard County, Gorgeous rooms and grounds, warm staff. A community-minded schedule where guests are welcomed, if they like.
