Not prejudice but when we walked in the landscape was majority white and other us and the workers were the only Mexican & Chicanos. In the Restaurant so I was judging the book by its cover thinking the food was no good or no flavor but I was wrong. Man I was wrong the food was very delicious very tasty I would highly recommend the chefs special very good a lot of food for your money. also, the service was excellent. My drink was halfway pink lemonade and they already wanted to fill it up my water also very good excellent service liters are on it. They also made everything perfect my asking all the time. Left a good tip. Thank you very much. Good waiters, good environment. Absolutely no complaint first time for everything.
Been coming to Pepe’s for about year now. The atmosphere is great and friendly. The food has always been on point and haven’t had any issues. I give the service A+ and pretty fast. Will Recommend.
Visited old town Montrose and went here to try out their margarita. Pretty good strawberry margarita and decent prices as well. The Big pitcher of fruits margaritas is only $34, about 5 big margarita glasses. Rarely we see Chimichanga on the menu so we ordered the mini chimichanga with chorizo, beans and cheese filling. It doesn't taste the same as I had it before but it was nice. Came with sour cream and guacamole. Bottomless chips and salsa. The z happy hour menu looks decent for food and drinks. The services are excellent. Nice decor in the restaurant as well.
The food here was delicious and the atmosphere is very inviting. The staff are friendly and provided great service. There great cocktails and margaritas. They also have some beers on tap and bottles. I left feeling very full as the portions are a good size. If you are craving Mexican food, add this place to your list.

My wife and I came on a Sunday and menudo and a burrito. Portion sizes are good, food is mediocre at best. The menudo managed to have zero flavor, and the pork was overcooked while the hominy was undercooked. We don't drink alcohol, and this place seems to really push their drinks so I think they recognize the food quality. I can't be angry, however, as the staff is amazingly tentative and everything happens quickly even when they're busy. Their chips and salsa are also unusually great, so that gives me hope that some dishes on their menu can be good. if your standard of Mexican is white person good, you'll love it but for everyone else keep walking.
I love this restaurant! Here's the thing, their menu consists of solid California style Mexican food however the people that work and serve there are the bright spot when dining at Pepe's. They always seem to be happy and attentive which speaks well of the management and owners of the restaurant. One tip, if you are fond of spicy food as I am they do have a hotter house made salsa you just have to ask your waiter for it.
