Really enjoyed our visit mostly because the buildings are real & relate to people who lived in Searsport, lots of old smaller boats, paintings, scrimshaw, models. You could spend days reading & enjoying the exhibits & the church building is so beautiful with a 1,000+ pipe organ still used for Sunday services. They could use some hefty donations to spruce things up & finish projects. Very pleased with our visit

A real hidden gem of the Maine coast! In depth marine history of the bay as well as excellent and engaging docents. Various sea Captain's homes, a terrific info talk on rigging and furling of sails - hands on, and a children's exploratory room. No long lines.

Cool collection of historic buildings that you tour on your own. Some have guides that can give you some interesting information. You are mostly outdoors, so don't go on a rainy day. Worth a visit.

Awesome! Very informative staff. Unique museum made up of several buildings, each featuring something different. We saw living quarters, an exhibit of nautical paintings, and great examples of small boats of varied purpose & design. The camera obscura was so cool!

Multiple buildings / exhibits on site. Also educational stuff for children and a library and extensive photo archive. Tours throughout the day.

Great museum to visit for the afternoon. The docents were helpful and informative. There are several places for children to experience 19th century regional history.

A place to get a quick and brief history of Penobscot. The guided tours schedule could be better organized. It would be nice if it was a single composite tour rather than several individual tours with times that are difficult to schedule in a flowing manner.

Much larger than I expected. Unfortunately several buildings were not open because of staffing issues. Very informative self-guided tour.

Fantastic pizza! These pies could go up against anything from Boston's North End. Local ingredients and fresh basil right out of the garden next to the bus! Just had the Salmon Pesto and the Baconator tonight. Pricing on some of the specialty pie

While attending the Maine Boat and Home Show in August, this beauty of "a food truck" was parked close by. I just had to stop. Ended up with the Maine Blueberry cup...yummy 4 my tummy. Yeah for spontaneity! So good, just classic...

I was told by the server that the corned beef hash was the best in Maine. And she was right! Best I've had! (The potato part of the hash is under the beef.) Excellent all around meal, with over-medium eggs that were perfectly cooked and a good cup of

Just bought the large House Special pizza and it rocked! I’ve rarely had a pie like this with such generous amounts of topping. It was cooked perfectly. Best pizza we’ve had on our trip across the country.
