I stopped in at P n's around 3:30 in the afternoon. I ordered the catfish dinner with fries. Hush puppies and coleslaw, the fish was excellent. It was not fried too hard. It was seasoned to perfection. The coleslaw was also excellent. The star of this penns is Ms shirley. It took about 12 minutes for my Order to be cooked while I was waiting. I started a conversation with Miss Shirley found out that myself and her sister went to school together. She offered me some strawberry lemonade while I waited( it was great). then she offer me some banana pudding. All it is with excellent customer service. I will be back.
Always really friendly people. Food is always good and hot. Got 🚛truck parking behind the location which is always a plus😁👍🏽Ask for Mrs. Cotton. She is the sweetest server in town😊👍🏽
Horrible experience, only 5 people in the place and hour and half later we finally got almost all the food that was ordered. No coleslaw, food was cold coming out. Felt bad for the two young kids working as everyone was getting aggrivated. Should have been warned at the door they only had one cook, which would have made the situation better. The manager got called back in and worked her butt off to make us happy. And gave us a discount that is the only reason I gave them 3 stars.
First time in a couple years stopping by. Ordered the Catfish and Chicken plate and half order of “Large” butterfly shrimp. Everything tasted great. The Cole Slaw was awesome. Only reason they don’t get 5 stars was the shrimp were not large, probably (60-80’s per pound size). Will definitely be back. Hopefully I will get through on a Friday or Saturday when the seafood buffet is available.
Great food and service. Friendly staff and very clean. We had the appetizer fried green tomatoes (awesome). We ordered the all you can eat catfish and you get 8 good sized pieces to start with along with hushpuppies, coleslaw and French fries. But if you want to substitute you can get fried okra, backed beans, turnip greens just ask. Also they have a lunch buffet that ends at 2pm. I got the ambrosia aka fruit salad w/marshmallows & coconut.
We’re usually not these kind of folks but we got there and it was FREEZING inside then they sat us down , let us order & etc. skip to when we got our food , there was chunks of old grease in my brother in laws fries and a piece of a metal dish sponge in my sandwich to which the manager said “that kind of stuff happens all the time” umm no ma’am . The food was terrible and it all together was just a horrible waste of time and money ! Won’t be back!
Service was very slow and buffet was closed catfish strips and very small pieces and hushpuppies have zero flavor WILL NOT RETURN very misleading from ads of a buffet that only is a few hours a week.
Amazing place, everything was great. I was passing through from Arizona enroute to Virginia and found this gem of a restaurant. I will stop again once I head back west and anytime I'm in this area.
