What a great find!! Beautiful homey little Diner right in the Village, with great food and most likely the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had!! The tavern ham they use has great flavor and make sure you the locals homemade hot sauce it has great flavor and medium heat. And on top of all that Tabby and Violet you are the definition of awesome service and what service should be with a smile!!! Thank you and I'm looking forward to my next trip through Penn Yan.
We had the breakfast sandwich with home fries - real potatoes, not frozen. Breakfast was great. Coffee was very good. Excellent service and a great dining experience in this authentic retro diner!
Sunday 12/17/23 What a charming place! We ate at the bar and watched our meal being made. Everyone was smiling and so pleasant. Our breakfast portions were generous and delicious! Real ingredients used and obviously made with love. We will certainly be back! Thank you!
So my pregnant sister and I decided stop here cause it looked good. The place was cute, I love the aesthetic but prices for the food was ridiculous. 3.50 plus tax for 8oz of orange juice. Don’t ask me prices for the food cause they were ridiculous too. The water didn’t taste right either, definitely needed to be filtered you could tell it came from the tap which is fine if didn’t taste Metallica, then it took over an hour just to get our food which is understandable cause they didn’t seem to have a lot of people working but Ik other people don’t like to wait. My sandwich was great, I loved it no problems with it except for the chips being a bit stale and pickle tasting weird but my sister? Her sandwich was moldy and we had to get refund and I shared half of my sandwich with her cause she needed to eat something. I was excited to try this place but after this bad experience we sadly will not be returning again. I hope whoever reads my reviews takes what I say into consideration before going there.
Super cute for a 98 year old diner! Their omelets were good. Very cozy and antique inside
All the dishes we had were outstanding! The server was attentive as well. It's a retro diner as advertised and I thought it was well done and cozy. I would have taken a few pictures inside but it was a little too intrusive with all the patrons.
Got the Banana Crunch French Toast, food and service was excellent. There was a debate among the locals on what was better The Diner or The Wagner across the street, they’re both great but when I’m back out here the diner is my favorite!
A wonderful bit of old fashioned Americana right smack in the middle of the computer age! It was Sunday morning, we went in, they took my cell number and texted me when we could be served. We waited about 20 minutes. We sat at the end of the counter where all the cooking action takes place. You use your phone camera to snap the QR code and your menu appears on your phone! Pancakes, buckwheats, waffles, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, hot coffee and decaf too! Lunch items, French onion soup. You want it, they got it in a 1925 dining car. It's a meal and a show all at once. Great buckwheat pancakes. If I lived in Penn Yan, I'd eat there every weekend! Great food and lots of nostalgia and just plain FUN!
Truly can't say enough about how incredible this place is. Using fresh local ingredients, a cozy fun environment and the cocktails were out of this world good. The owner even took time to give me some tips of her own for creating simple syrups and ho
A beautiful building on a hill overlooking a lake with friendly staff. Not our favorite wine but a great place to stop. 6 tastings and free house bubbly (wine of the month) lead to a purchase of our favorite. They have non-alcoholic catawba grape ju
The best coffee spot in Penn Yan, and Yates County. So says I. Great place to set up and get some work or reading done. Nice selection of coffee and drinks and food. There is almost always someone in the front nook.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable! I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was descent, but pretty average as hotel food goes. Located close to everything local. I'd stay again
Very nice place to stay for your trip to Watkins Glen and Finger Lakes area. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The rooms with the lake views are great. The only issue is in the rooms there is no place to place your clothes. There is no piece
In love with this place. Visited for the first time last weekend. Grab a map at the first booth you see one because it's a spawling market with many buildings and lengthy shop front strips. Great food with lots of choices. Perfectly dog friendly. Ou
A quaint little park! Lots of picnic tables scattered about with some in shady areas. The playground is really nice; very clean too. Lifeguards on duty while you swim / wade in the lake. I love the history of this park! If you visit, definitely go c
