Penn Station East Coast Subs - Sandwich shop in Fort Wayne - 4916 Illinois Rd, USA

First time trying this place. I ordered a small italian sub and it was delicious!! It was packed with flavor. I ordered a couple things to take off my sub and they followed it perfectly! I put my sub into the air fryer later on and it made it even better! Great experience here and i'll definitely be back!

First time eating at a Penn Station. Had their Reuben and fries which were both good.

Today was probably my last time visiting this location. I’ve tried to phone in an order at least 5 times over the summer and the phone was never answered. I ordered online this time and when I walked into the store I was not greeted but went to the end of the counter to pick up my food. FOR 10 MINUTES!!! I stood there while 4 employees lackadaisically worked and never paid me no mind, the store was not busy. I finally spoke up because I was getting tired of wanting someone to do their job. My food was in a bag on the rear counter from the time I walked in I discovered (ORDER#11534427). I was told have a nice day by one of the cooks on my way out….forever. The food is good though but not worth this trouble.

I'd love to rate this place higher, BUT... We've been in twice. The first time we each paid for our own meal and a small fry was ordered with each. The person taking the order kept a ipod in during the ordering and failed to ring up one of the small fries, then when asked about it not being included in the To-go bag wanted to charge ( we'd have gladly paid the first time around but we were no longer interested in waiting for another bag to come from the kitchen. We'd been waiting awhile already and other folks had come in behind us) Tonight was worse. Tonight 3 individuals couldn't get the orders correct not just for us but other patrons waiting as well. The folks ahead of us placed an eat in, and was served in to go wrapping on trays ( she barely noticed in was eat in (and said so as she walked it to them)). Our order was to add bacon to my cheesesteak foot long and when the food came up it was plated for eat in. We had been asked 3 times from start to finish if we were going to carryout/eat in. So the order came up was plated for here and then corrected in bags, to leave. That should have been my sign to check my food before leaving but as soon as I opened my sandwich at home I saw that it was completely missing the bacon I paid to add. I'm not sure this place can make food "to order" at this point since both of my experiences in this shop have been less than impressive. The food I got was tasty just not correct. Not sure that I will give them a 3rd chance to fail...

It took 1 hr 18 minutes to receive my sandwich correctly. We initially arrived at 6:15pm and it took 25 minutes to complete our order at first after they gave me my order with only 1 of 2 sandwiches and had to quickly make the 2nd. Got home and one sandwich was wrong. After going back, they remade it and gave it to someone else because they didn’t know where it was after I waited ANOTHER 25 minutes. Finally it was remade and I got the correct sandwich and walked out at 7:33pm. 1 hr 18 min….ridiculous. The sliver of saving grace is the sandwich was good.

The food itself was very meh but what was disturbing was the employees constantly touching their hair and mouth/faces and then handling everyone's food WITHOUT GLOVES. Will not be returning.

The staff was nice and it was clean but I paid almost 30 dollars for this and a cookie. I'm very disappointed in the amount of meat and cheese as I paid for extra

There were three people working. They stood there talking instead of taking my order. Then the guy stood there, sweeping the floor instead of taking my payment. It took them ten minutes to start my order. Meanwhile, two employees stood there talking. Do NOT recommend. They didn’t start actually making my order and working until a big group of people walked in.
