I LOVED this place! We came during the off season, so it was very calm with only a few other people there. The staff were informative and kind. Our guide for the windmill was awesome! I wish I could remember his name so I could name him personally in this review. The village outside was beautiful and so full of information! Wyatt Earp’s home was my favorite place to see. I never realized how sad his life’s story was. Dogs are not welcome in here (pretty much the entire town of Pella, for that matter). It was a tiny bit pricey ($15), but when you consider all the work that goes into maintaining a place like this it isn’t too bad. 100% recommend going there! I plan on going back.
Very cool Dutch town that is a great family experience! From the beautiful windmill to the home of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp to the historic style village, there is so much to like and tour here! You will see early examples of Dutch clothing, musical instruments, Delft China, examples of craftsmanship in metals and wood and so much more. Would make a nice weekend trip!
As a Pella native, I am super proud to have this experience to share with my friends and family when we visit. The staff are all super friendly, and the knowledge they have about Pella, the Dutch, and how the windmill operates is just wonderful!
Very informative with personable staff. The tour of the windmill was the highlight. Another great sight was the miniature village which was also part of the tour admission. The boyhood home of gun slinger lawman Wyatt Earp is part of the village tour. They have hand held narration speakers you use to guide you through the house. Enjoy your stay in Pella.
Visited Pella so many times and always missed the historical village because we were too late or it wasnt open on the day we visited. Well worth the visit, so much to see. Take your time, explore every building.
This place is amazing! So much to learn about culture--both the Netherlands and Pella--agriculture and industry. The Mill tour and miniature Netherlands was great (best view in town!) the historical village is charming with beautiful gardens, and the museum is wonderfully curated. Give it three hours of your day, it will not disappoint.
First time there. We had a great time and plan to go back soon.
J'aurais mis 10 étoiles si j'avais pu...

The bread Board is amazing!!! We love the atmosphere and their bread is always the best we have ever had! On Saturdays they make bagels that are better than New York bagels and if you donât go early⦠they will be gone.
Coffee was yummy and the customer service was great! I ordered a complicated coffee and they were very kind and helpful with it. Cost wasnât too bad either. The store was very cute too!
We love to visit Central Park and see all of the Tulips in the summer and the Thursday Nights in Pella are always a great time with all of the demonstrationâs, food vendors and farmers market!
