This place is a must stop if you’re up north - every kind of smoked meat imaginable! Endless varieties of summer sausage, breakfast sausage and bacon, an entire wall of cheese, nice selection of condiments and liquor. Friendly helpful staff, who even helped us make an impromptu gift basket. Great prices too.

DO NOT bring your steer there for butchering. We were so excited to go there waited over a year brought two in they were jersey /Angus the meat was not even edible. It was so tough couldn't even get one bite down. We have been farming for over 15 years and people love our meat. I don't know if we got someone else's meat or they didn't hang it long enough. They called me on day 5 to pick up my meat so I know if we got our meat it wasn't hung long enough. Called there to inform them, no apology about the poor job and no call back from manager. We take great pride in our raising. I cut grass for hours a day to give green grass, feed all organic meaning I go pull weeds by hand out of hay field, and pay a lot of money on land for them. I now feel the need to give away a cow to my customers for the garbage that the meat was turned into. We farmers can not afford for you to ruin our meat and two animals died for nothing. I called owner after his response. He took my information said he would call me back, called back next day to tell me he couldn't find us. I gave him exact date he said he would forsurely call back next day it has been five days and no call back. I will look for my receipt and post it. I have a freezer full and offered to bring him some to try. Owner has gotten back to me again now. Says yes grass fed should be hung longer and would give me half off my next processing bill and will hang it for at least 14 days for me and more if I wanted it longer. I am happy with this and I will probably return now.

Great variety of meats, drinks, and cheeses. I bought a variety of items but haven’t had the chance to try anything yet. Everything looked fresh and worth the purchase! The free7 drink was absolutely delicious, will be headed back to buy a few more! (It was thrown in the trash, just placed on floor to take a picture for easy reading).

I rarely post any comments however I must say I am disappointed with Pelkins meat processing services. I purchased a half a cow and it was butchered at Pelkins. I received 271 prepackaged 1lb ground beef tubes and every package so far has had a small fragment of bone in it. Just big enough to break your teeth on. Sitting here eating a bowl of chilli and finally had enough and thought I should post something. Very disappointing.u

This place is awesome! They have a great variety of meats in lots of different flavors and options, along with local cheeses, buns, and their own spice mixes and rubs along with local spirits and wine for just about all of your smoking and grilling needs!

Shopped this morning for Christmas presents. 80 types of bratwurst to choose from. Amazing!!! Love Pelkins
