No.... just don't. Sign says "ultra modern cottages", but ours wasn't. We decided we could NOT stay overnight or sleep on beds due to smell & "lack of comforts". They returned our money less "100 cleaning fee plus some" and said that vrbo retained what wasn't returned to our account. I'm of the mindset if you can't say something nice, don't comment but it would have been horrible if we had kids or a baby with us... I just can't imagine. "Rustic" does not equate to old. I would hate someone else to be as shocked as we were when we arrived.
We had a sweet, kind greeter & the lake / beach was beautiful. 4 star for friendly greeter & majority refund was nice.
I'm hoping the Owner will want to invest in upgrading their cottages to reflect what their sign says and make a more enjoyable visit for guests with updated floors, fresh paint job, better mattresses, linens, decor, wifi, & do a much better job at cleaning for the next guests, especially for the rate of $393 a night (includes fees). We were planning on staying 3 nights.

We've been visiting Pelican Beach Resort for many years and always can't wait until our next visit. Tim and Pat are terrific. Their resort is great for all ages. Lake is beautiful.

My family has been coming here for over 10 years and we hope to continue to do so! It's located on a quiet part of the lake so it's great for families!

As soon as we walked in the door, we were blessed with the smells of amazing delicious coffee!
The coffee did not disappoint. So freaking good. The Mayan Mocha and the Turtle Mocha were fabulous.
We have cabin 9 with a group of eight, family and friends, each couple has our own bedroom, and share two bathrooms. Beautiful open spaces in kitchen and living room area.
Great state forest with lots of activities. Decent hiking/biking and horse trails. Has a nice campground for a state forest with a swim beach. Many day use areas with many lakes to enjoys. Looks like fishing is good for how busy the lakes were.
