Peavy Arboretum - Arboretum in Corvallis - NW Peavy Arboretum Rd, USA

My only complaint about Peavy is the lack of water filling stations. The few places / parking lots I’ve parked at I haven’t seen a water faucet to be able to fill water bottles. Luckily I brought over 2 L of water and went through most of it walking 5.25 miles in 80 F weather.

Great hiking trails for all skill levels

Excellent hiking in this part of the state. It was easy to find parking on a December weekend. Entry was free and the trails weren't crowded at all. I felt safe the whole time and the entire place had fantastic signage. There were two families hiking with their kids and other people had dogs with them. I saw several trash cans in the parking lot but not sure if there are water fountains.

This park had so many trails for all levels I had a hard time deciding which way I wanted to go so I went a little ways on multiple trail. There were informational pieces about the land throughout the hiking trails. I went very early and I was nearly by myself, as the morning wore on there was an abundance of people. The park was easy to find and there was ample parking.

Beautiful and detailed park with a very unique history! Amazing collection of giant sequoias, coastal redwoods, and 2 majestic dawn redwoods. The trees are well marked and some signs have QR codes with links to additional information

We did one of the 3-4 mile hikes. The grade was good for our kids.

Very easy hiking trails. Lots of beautiful views of you take the Banzai trail. The Section 36 and Powder House trails have gorgeous views as well. Not many people in the summer time.

Great place for a quick hike with good variety. Trails range from easy to moderate and have something for everyone. Off leash dog friendly too. Highly recommend for casual nature walker to intermediate hiker, depending on trails taken. Tip: pick up a map from local bike shop to get a terrific picture of all of the trails - bike, people or horse. Smaller trailhead maps are sometimes available, but the locals know where to go and these maps help everyone else.
