(MUST MAKE A RESERVATION) What a gem of a place!! My partner and I have lived here for 3 years and just went today and we are in love! What a beautiful little place and an even more beautiful owner. We came to only realize that you needed reservations, fortunately they had a 12:00 spot available. We were starving, but decided to wait and boy are we glad we did. Paul is incredibly welcoming, so was the sever. And the food was out of this world, we had eggs Benedict, smoked salmon lettuce tomato sandwich and the Belgian waffles!! Wow oh wow was it incredible, best waffles I have ever had in my life. We will definitely make dining there a regular thing. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Paul cozy restaurant serves up delightful dishes like pasco de marco, eggs benedict, and Belgian waffles. It’s amazing that he runs it with his niece alone! The charming atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a must-visit spot for foodies looking for both great food and ambiance.
First time at Paul’s had the waffle, GET THE WAFFLE!!!
Paul is so nice and welcoming you have to go meet him and his staff. The environment is very intimate which creates a vibe of connection. You are forced to be present if you really truly want to enjoy the atmosphere and aloha that he offers!
Thank you Paul. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere with the cutest seasonal decorations, and absolutely delightful service. Make reservations ahead of time (texting works best and try to book a week in advance). We ordered the eggs Benedict, breakfast caprese, pasta de Marco, and waffles. Every bite was eaten with delight. The food is hearty but not heavy, bright and full of flavor. Paul is a welcoming host, shares info about the food and fun life stories too. The place was decorated for the season (fall/Halloween), you can see how much care goes in to everything here. We will absolutely be back.
My husband Paul and I had our first breakfast in Hilo at Paul’s Cafe Place and it did not disappoint! Paul and his beautiful daughter’s service was beyond this world. We were greeted with smiles the moment we arrived. Paul did everything in his power to accomodate me with lactose dietary.
We had his famous Waffles, they were to die for!
I highly recommend you take a trip to Paul’s Cafe, you won’t be disappointed.
Thank you Paul and your amazing team, we can’t wait to come back soon! Mahalo! 🤍
Came here a little close to closing, owner was very nice and allowed us to eat regardless which was nice. I got the waffle and orange juice and it was very good tasting, hard to find waffles much better. Glad the breakfast menu is offered all the way till closing, as I love eating breakfast later in the day. The restaurant is quite small so only a few people can eat here at a time, unsure what this is like during busier hours.
If you've never been.....what the heck are you waiting for? Hospitality from both Paul himself and Bryoni was second to none! From casual convo to perfect meal suggestions, you will not find better service anywhere!! The food was absolutely amazing!!! Kids LOVED the Belgian Waffles, and we loved the Pasta de Marco and Fish Bowl. Both were a great tasty fusion of Chinese and Italian cuisine.....sounds weird but you gotta try!! Try and make reservations as the restaurant seats less than 10 people making walk-ins tough. Do yourself a favor and just go!!! Bryoni....we wish you all the success in your last semester at school. Enjoy.
This place is a MUST for breakfast on Hilo side. It's a small place so reservations recommended if you can. The owner is such a lovely man and the beautiful and friendly gal that served us was wonderful as well.
The food is so good. Any of the menu options will leave you satisfied - even the breakfast noodles.
Beautiful bakery shop in Hilo!! We stopped here on our way to Volcano national Park. It isn't on the way but it's a short stop from the airport. Head here to get your breakfast and then enjoy your day in the national Park!!!
So thankful we stayed here, got a completely different and intimate experience from our first half of our stay in Waikoloa. Our room was right off of the front porch so we had a nice area to sit and unwind before dinner each evening. Brian and his wi
This was an excellent place to stay. The breakfasts were amazing, the grounds are incredible, the location is great and the rooms are cute. The details are very clear and straightforward on the website. The lack of A/C was not a problem for us.
I was able to drop in while visiting town and had a great time. The staff, coaches, and training partners were friendly and welcoming, and the gym has a great atmosphere. Great place to train in Hilo.
Itâs an only outdoor sitting but they have canopies. Itâs basically food truck with seats under canopies so you can order at the food truck and get a seat and wait then they serve food to you. I ordered beef pho, dumplings and 2 cold noodles. It
I loved coming upon this place after walking to see King Kamehameha statue.
Staff was welcoming and friendly. They offered to show me how to make my own wrapping paper by pressing wood blocks into paint. Cool! I came to see the art exhibit, which was
You can experience some out of the world views from here (plan for the sunset). And its a great drive, even if you do not plan to visit the summit. Please do not miss this spot in the Big Island!
Iâve had poke all around the Big Island and this poke is exceptional!! Highly recommend. Itâs a small take out window. Service was friendly and quick. The All Star Bowl was perfect. Love the tuna and the salmon the great sauces and all the other
Excellent caring staff along with a well maintained facility. Lots of activities for Kupuna ( Seniors over 55) from hula to tennis and too many well taught classes to enroll in and keep active to mention. Located in Hilo off of Kinoole Street. Enjoy
The whole weekend was an amazing immersion into hula and Hawaiian traditions. The music, flowers, people, and dance were wonderful. I'd go every year if I could.
