Heading north on 715 on the east side of Lake Okeechobee, this little rest area is a great stop. Lots of picnic tables, grills, playground for the kids, restrooms and you can, also, stop here to put your boat in the water for a little fishing. I'm here on a Saturday morning at 11am and only 4 of the many picnic areas in use. Need a break while cruising around the lake, this is the place!
Great place to rest and have a good time with the family. Very clean bathrooms. Well maintained gardens and playground. Excellent view of the lake and canals and you can even have a nice hike
We used the bathrooms here and the boat ramp. The ramp is at a steep incline but not to hard to use, and the bathrooms were clean.
I grew up here having the best Easter parties had to relive it with the family has a park for kids pavilion are first come bring fishing rods, yoga etc.
If you want to see giant flesh-eating alligators, you've come to the right place. Park near the circle of picnic tables and walk up to the walkway on the ridge. If it's anything like today was, you might see 5 to 10 alligators swimming stealthly around in the channel or just off the bank with their snouts poking out of the water. Feels like a safe distance with nice viewpoints to walk out on high above the channel.
Great place for kids, Mom's get a great workout while the kiddos play. Superbly safe, clean, and overall just peaceful and beautiful.
Very calm, still open not too many people. I saw a big aligator, be aware when you fish with kids is a boat ramp very wide and deep into the water.

We were traveling from Miami to Orlando and we wanted to go through the countryside to explore and experience a different side of Florida.
On our way, we thought we should grab something to eat and Poppa Jimmy's was one of the highest rated places a
Great vibes and great view of lake Okeechobee while you dine! I visited after work with my coworkers. The atmosphere was nice and we received great service from Yvette, Whitney and Essence. They strive to make your dining experience a great one. The
