We have stayed at the Passport Inn many times over the years, and recently were there from 7/31-8/3/2024. My wife and I find this to be our happy place and we were pleased to find it still to be the same. Our son and his friend actually treated us to this getaway. We love the long-time owner, Mr. Gandhi, we love the pool and we love the location. The proximity to the Crab Trap restaurant (short walk across the street) is a bonus if you like great seafood and have plenty of time to enjoy a special meal. The Point Diner is next door and is a great casual place to eat, as well. The Passport rooms are maintained and are clean. The TV and A/C (a little loud) are adequate. The beds are comfortable and pillows (three per bed) are good. For big adults, the towels are small. Bring your own absorbent bath towels if possible. The water pressure is good in the shower. The prices are reasonable and weekday rates are likely lower than weekend rates. We hope to return next year and if we do, life is good. I am thankful that The Passport Inn has been a bright spot in my life since the 1990s.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights in April. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit run down, and the person who checked us in was taciturn, at best. But our room was very clean and comfortable. There are a number of good restaurants near the hotel, and it is near the Garden State Parkway. Great value, at least in the shoulder season.
This place was great. Fair price, close to the beach, close to a diner, great pool, strong cold ac, nice staff, plenty of towels and space, comfortable beds, I even forgot a few items there and the staff was polite patient and helpful with me recovering my items. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying here again.
A simple, basic motel. The room was plenty big with a good TV and a small table with chairs. . The towels and sheets were clean and fresh. The shower had lots of hot water.
By far the worst motel.... pubic hair pasted on the bathroom wall. What looked like dried soda stains everywhere. Wall unit not working properly. Gross all around... needed to sleep in a bio-hazard suit (no joke).
Positive: Location was convenient Negative: We had an ant problem on the sink counter & the bed was very firm that it hurt our backs
The staff was kind and helpful, the location is right in front of a bridge that goes to ocean city, a liquor store, and a couple of restaurants. However ... the room ... we stayed for two nights and my clothes all smell like tobacco. The room reeked of it when we walked in and the windows had been open for a while it seems. The pillows had seen fluffier days and the carpet crunched like peppermint bark under our shoes. For the price it was fine I guess but the smell won't wash out of my clothes its been a few washes now.
Above average for a 1-star motel...I chose this for the price and location since I lived in the area for years and owner has done a great job updating the property ..be aware of: every room has a smell. My room was that purple fabioso smell meaning it was clean. No tissues or shelves in the fridge. Table was too high for sitting in chairs to dine. I appreciated the clock in the room and the microwave and AC worked great. Tub didn't drain so after shower I had to kneel and hold stopper up for a while but water pressure was better than at home. It's an older property so walls are thin but I always travel with earplugs to avoid loud neighbors in rooms. Location is excellent! Gas, restaurants, a Wawa, a park and a liquor store all within walking distance. Mere miles from Ocean City and shopping and great for the not AC crowd.

This is our favorite ShopRite in this area. Everyone who works there is always friendly except for one person and I called her out on the spot. It was over a coupon not working and then I heard her complaining to a coworker that I said she was rude a
