The staff was great, and the room was fantastic. You will have yo pay for any snacks from the lobby, however, and the lobby itself is not open 24 hours. So if you choose this place be sure to arrive during office hours. Otherwise you may have some problems. The rooms had two entrances, though, one from the inside hallway, which can be accessed via the lobby and side doors. The other leads directly outside to the parking lot. So any after hour excursions will not prevent you from getting back into your room.
Our first room didn't have a working shower. But as soon as we told the staff, they managed to upgrade us to a suite that same evening. The service was pleasant and nice. The only thing was that the carpet felt a little sticky, so maybe that had to be cleaned. But in general, it was a very nice stay.
This is the third time we have stayed at the Parkway Inn in the past ten years and it just keeps getting better. Ownership has invested in upgrades to the rooms and the common areas and all upgrades have been tastefully done and add to the experience. Beds were very comfortable and the hotel is the perfect distance from downtown - walkable but still away from all the foot and car traffic. We will be back.
Stayed here in September and although the hotel is cute the staff and manager weren't helpful and didn't follow up on what they promised they would. Do NOT stay in room 119 as it is across from the ice machine which is used quite often and makes a ton of noise as it refills. We asked to be moved but they wouldn't accommodate us even though not everyone was checked in yet. them manager and desk staff said they would call us but never did. Customer service isn't their strong suit. And for over $450/nigh we expected more. The lobby/office area closes at 7 or 8pm and doesn't reopen till 7am! So you're stuck with whatever food/coffee, etc. you have in your room. I'm sure there are better hotels in the area as its a really cute town.
This is a nice place to stay in Jackson Hole. The staff is friendly and the Inn is off the beaten path so the vehicular noise was minimized. There is a refrigerator but no microwave in the room. There is however a microwave at the check-in point. Upon first inspection, I thought the shower/toilet area was too tight but after staying a couple of nights, it ended up being a non-issue. All properties in this area are really pricy so watch for price breaks during the fall. Close to the shopping square so a walk is not out of the question. Parking is tight in the back but in the fall not hard finding a space.
We had a reservation for one night at the Parkway, traveled to Yellowstone and then on return another one night stay at the Parkway planned. During our Yellowstone visit I broke my leg hiking. I notified the Parkway as soon as our trajectory had changed. I spoke with the manager and she told me it was not within the 7 day cancellation window and that I should have had trip insurance. I explained it was a medical emergency and I certainly had not planned it 7 days ago. When this happened we were crushed and so many people showed kindness canceling our reservations and helping us navigate. The Lodge at Yellowstone, the airlines, a local float trip company, dinner reservations all who had similar cancellation requirements - everyone but the Parkway. We were charged for the night we did not stay which I am sure they had no trouble renting on a Friday evening in Jackson Hole. My advice, do not stay here or be sure and pay the extra trip insurance and at that rate stay some place nicer. It's not that great, rooms are old and although family owned they are not caring, good people.
Reserved a 1 bedroom cottage suite as a splurge on the 10 day road trip. The photos on the web site look so inviting and I was looking forward to surprising my husband. However upon entering the unit I first thought I was given the wrong room. It did not look like the photos on line. After a few minutes and going back to the web site I saw it was the right room, only stripped of all the wall artwork and accents. It was also missing 3 chairs; 2 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. It was nothing special at all! Talk about disappointment! I went to check out the private deck and that too was a disappointment! When was the last time anyone working here actually cleaned it? The floor was peeling, the chairs covered in pollen and plant debris. The privacy head was so overgrown and hanging on the floor and furniture.|Disappointed totally! For $600 plus a night I expected much better. Don’t stage the room for a photo op then deliver something else. Also, no creamer for coffee, only provided dark roast coffee, flimsy paper cups for coffee. No luxury here, shameful!
We were unfortunate to be placed on the 1st floor room. The floor above us squeaked when occupants above us walked on it. The sound is loud enough to wake you up throughout the night. One guy requested room change, but was denied. Another surprise is the small bathroom, I have attached photo for reference.||Small bathroom is tolerable, but not the squeaking sound. Since one has 50 percent chance of being placed on 1st floor, I will avoid this Inn at all costs.
