Parkview Inn Motel - Motel in Cañon City - 231 Royal Gorge Blvd, USA

Owner runs an excellent motel — pristinely clean, efficient service, lots of pride in her rooms and continental breakfast. She made our stay relaxing and enjoyable every step of the way. Located convenient to downtown restaurants and businesses, Arkansas River Walk trail, very short drive to Tunnel Drive trail, a few miles to Skyline Drive and Royal Gorge bridge. Highly recommend this little motel. Nothing fancy but everything you need and everything is well done.

We came to Cañon City to ride the Royal Gorge train as part of an anniversary getaway. We had been looking at AirBNBs in the area, but when we had to change dates at the last minute, this motel was by far a better price option, and directly across the street from the train! It was actually quite quaint and there was something refreshing about being handed a physical key on a plastic key chain. The rooms were basic, but exactly as advertised. There was a comfy bed with 4 pillows (that varied in thickness so I could pick my fave), 2 chairs, nightstands, a TV, a desk, a small coffee maker, mini fridge and a rack to hang clothes. The bathroom had a large counter, hair dryer, shower stall and a toilet. Only the things you need. The bed was comfy, there was lots of hot water, and the AC worked great. We had the river right outside our window and a view of the park (which is WAY bigger and nicer than what you can see from the motel - so go check it out! It even had river tubing!) The motel is along a relatively busy street, but with the fan/AC running the noise never once bothered us. You do hear the train whistle when it leaves/arrives about 3x per day, but it was always pleasant, and I don't think it runs at night, so it's not going to wake you up. The motel seemed to be family owned and it was well taken care of. We were also pleasantly surprised for the low price to include a basic continental breakfast until 9:30 daily. (cereal, bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurt, juices, etc) There's also plenty of restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance as well. Some of the rooms require steps/stairs, so if that is an issue, make sure to mention it when booking your room. Would highly recommend and would stay here again!

We had a great stay at the Parkview! The owner was wonderful, very knowledgeable about the area. Her restaurant suggestions were very good. The room was just right for the 2 of us and spotlessly clean. The property is very well maintained and clean. The motel is located within walking distance to many of the attractions in Canon City. It across the street from the Royal Gorge railroad. We highly recommend it!

We read the reviews and decided to stay here. You should too! Great location For Royal Gorge. Modern, super clean, basic hotel room with very comfortable beds. Would stay here again and would recommend!!

Amazing place and well above a 2 star hotel! Not even sure why it shows that. The owner was Soo kind was beyond helpful! We walked to the train which was super convenient. We have a family of 5 so we were shocked that there was a three bed in the same room option! Can’t speak to how nice that was. Rooms were clean and breakfast was a perfect addition. Amazing spot to add to your trip to canon city. Thank you

Great experience! The staff are very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. This is an older motel but meticulously maintained. The continental breakfast was just right. Walking distance to the train depot and to the prison museum.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Rooms are on the smaller side but the above outweighed that. The owner, I’m assuming, was a super sweet and helpful woman. The breakfast was also good with variety. There are not many options near The Royal Gorge/canon city. I highly recommend this one.

The owner is great, very accommodating. We got the three bed unit so the cost was great for needing three people to sleep comfortably. It is right on the highway which makes it very noisy and the AC is also noisy. If you need a quiet sleep bring earplugs. Beds are on the hard side but still pretty comfy.
