I live locally in Vermont and decided I would try breakfast in a different town. Went to the café thinking it was a nice environment with a good vibe. Ended up getting the wrong meal which we did not complain about because the meal was very similar to our original meals. The staff in the back proceeded to yell about the fact that the waiter gave us a wrong meal, making us feel bad. They then went to the customers at the other table asking them if they would be OK if they took our meals.. Making it obvious by glaring at us and making us feel like we did something wrong. The staff also proceeded to apologize to the other table, and never had any kind of apology or comments to us. Very disappointing that this ruined our breakfast out as we attempted to support a local business. I am not one to write reviews, especially bad reviews. But this felt like a deserving place for a review.
Food is okay but nothing special. Prices are fairly consistent with the region. Would return to try other menu items.
I would describe this place as a sort of hometown cafe. There's nothing fancy about the place, but I felt welcomed and was treated very well. Our lunch consisted of a burger for me and a buffalo chicken wrap for my partner. Both were tasty and well made. Our sides were onion rings and fries, both of which were freshly made and served hot. The staff were engaging and kind of funny, which added to our enjoyment during our visit. Highly recommended.
I am a big breakfast person and travel for work often, always seeking local spots. This place was the first in a very long time to get such a low rating. To start, I showed up and they didn't have coffee ready. Took about 15 minutes to get it which is unheard of for breakfast joint. That was actually the least of the problems. The woman that showed up started clipping her nails in the back, then walked behind the count biting the corners of her nails. I could hear her nail clippers at work and then she comes out finishing them off with her mouth. She then brought my super greasy and cold meal (coagulating on top - see pic), brought me silverware with her bare hands, and had to find napkins. I tried my hardest to get past the mental block but it was all too disgusting. The staff never came back from the back and I had already paid so I just walked out.
This is by far my most favorite cafe. The staff here fill the loving small town culture bar to the top along with the coffee, and their food is stellar. The breakfast is the perfect start to a perfect day. This would be my go-to place if I was a local.
Food was very good. Had to open my hot chocolate package and ask for a cup to put it. Other customers had it done and even with whip cream, made by a different server. Woman’s bathroom night didn’t work. Both trash cans were overflowing with paper towels and no soap to wash your hands This was a Saturday morning.
Look, this is a simple dinner/ deli place. If you’re looking for something fancier and wish to spend more money there are other places to choose from. The young ladies working were all very sweet and the food was exactly what I expected…good. I had the sausage gravy plate with two eggs over easy. Delish
Ordered bacon eg & cheese on wheat, fries & coffee - got egg & cheese on English muffin, fries & coffee. I asked for bacon & recieved it but ... the fries were good - homemade but too salty for me which is saying a lot. Coffee was not great. The review doesn't reflect my experience but I think there's potential.

We went to the bar only. My boss highly recommended it. They had a good selection of booze but only an okay selection of beers. They had heady topper which is popular but in a beer haven like Waterbury it seemed a little scant. The bartender was nice
Another great Vermont State Park. By far the most crowded but it's also the start of leaf peeping. Even with the full park we had the beach to ourselves most of the day and it's a great swimming beach. Clean bathrooms, little areas for gathering, and
What a treat. After boating all day, the eight of us were beat. Called Stoneâs Throw and although they âdonât take reservationsâ, they accommodated us with a welcome smile. Interesting Small & tasty Plates, Garden Fresh Salads, Inventive pizz
This place is great! First time coming here, and I'm gonna be going back for sure. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were super nice and welcoming. I ordered the pro pig burger, and it was delicious ð I couldn't believe how thick those bacon sl
