Don’t have pool open don’t have WiFi here and there is thieves breaking into rooms and stealing valuables and electronics. Traffic is horrible especially when crossing over to dollar general It’s pretty cheap
I got a room for one night was told it would be $65 and they charged my card $80, the TV didn't work so had to move to another room got a TV but no toliet paper, only one electric socket worked, no Ice machine.
The woman on the phone and at the front desk was very nice, and her children were polite. The location is wonderful, near to town and far enough from Highway 40. ||||The older style of the motel is up my alley. Just at the tail end of following Route 66 heading east, and stayed at several funky older motels, none of them fancy.||||Unfortunately the level of maintenance in the room wasn't easy for my mom and I to deal with. Particularly the black mold in the bathtub. It was disappointing considering that we had researched it beforehand and reviews made it out to be modest, but clean.
DO NOT STAY HERE! Dirty. No plug in for phones. Microwave unplugged, no way to plug in. Bathroom dirty, stained towels. (We didn’t bathe) Filthy blankets and bedspread, sheets questionable. Heavy perfume hiding unpleasant smells. Lumpy, dirty almost nonexistent mattress. Ugly equipment exposed and things broken. For $70 there are lots of other options.
The staff was nice and the room was very clean and nice for the affordable price. We were very disappointed that the pool had been closed...not closed for a couple of days but for years! Staff said it was too expensive to upkeep...ok...then take it off the amenities list on the websites! There is even a picture of a clean, shimmering pool on their business cards...YET NO POOL! Management needs to fix that major discrepency! We had been digging for crystals and were hot and wanted a place to stay for the night that had a pool to cool off. We chose this motel because there was a pool and the price. The room turned out nice, kinda vintage-y and retro, but clean and nicely appointed. Just what we needed, except for the pool. The management should have said something when we were checking in. Otherwise a good place...if you aren't looking for someplace with a pool. When you check in or make a reservation, check to see if it has been re-opened or still closed...if having a pool is important to your stay. Otherwise, nice affordable nights stay.
The motel was clean and had decent staff.
This place is a complete dump. There were no towels, washcloths, little soaps, little shampoo bottles or anything. Only 1 light worked besides the bathroom light and the TV was fuzzy so it wasn't watchable. Don't go here!!! Even Relax inn or budget inn are better then this dump. I wish I took pictures but didn't think about it and there won't be a next time. I'd give this place a -10 if I could.
It's older, but not bad... it's clean, options of daily maid which i declined because I don't think towels need to be washed every day (hippie i know), but I'm sure she did a good job. micro fridge, microwave to do some hotel cheap cooking!...flat screen with cable, wifi... which works.. try to use before before pple get home from work or way after they get off... or else its slow. Good place for the $$$ thou. Owners are very nice. AC works. For the money you can't beat it! I will go there a gain!. no pool right now thou... which is a bumper but not a deal breaker. very safe environment for families and single women like me. CANT BEAT IT!!!
