Park Motel - Motel in North Platte - 1302 N Jeffers St, USA

The customer service was Terrible and they tried to charge me twice. I told him i had booked online and he said he didn’t do that and I needed to pay in person. I said no I had already paid. He insisted. I said if you don’t want your business online don’t make it available online. He continued to insist the price was the same and I should pay in person. The only thing that rattled that old cranky man’s dome was the voice of my male partner reiterating my exact words. (I am a female). Finally he made me write my name and email and phone # on a piece of paper and walked us to our room. Which was not the one I booked online but regardless it was the same price. Either way it was smelly and seedy as expected from the outside appearance. One of the towels was weirdly stained… but other than that I’d just avoid this place to avoid a late night bicker with a stubborn manager who should not have his business listed on hotels.com if he’s going to be suspicious about information when checking in.

We had reservations elsewhere, but they had overbooked so the only place in town that had a room available was this place. The person at the desk said they only had one room left and it was more than double what the listed prices are typically online. We didn’t have much of a choice. If you have a choice, don’t stay here. Old, gross, weird, smelly rooms with multiple light bulbs out and a tv that can’t be plugged in without an extension cord that we don’t have. Parking lot had a weird vibe, and it seemed like there were people hanging around out in the lot that were not guests at the motel.

There are many good reasons why this place is a one-star. Starting with ownership being crooks, it's dirty, run down, and smells. There are much better options at the same price. Don't go here unless you have to.

Last night I stayed here desperately needing a shower and a bed to sleep on and calculating what money I had left on me I had enough for a room here and $10 gas to keep going on my way. The room was $45 and I had $55. After I was charged and inside my room I realized I was charged $54 and went to the front desk. They said on their receipt I was only charged $45. The next morning when I called my bank they told me that the motel charged me $54. So there I stood with the manager, him on speaker w his bank and me on speaker w mine until finally my bank explained it was them that had actually charged the 9 dollars and that they would release it in up to 7 days and I just couldn’t have that because of how crucial it was that I had that $9 in gas money to move on to my destination. The manager ended up giving me $10 out of his own pocket and told me it wasn’t about the money and wanted to make sure I had my $10 for gas. I have never dealt w anything like this in all my experiences staying at hotels but I am forever grateful for this managers decision to settle my dispute and want everyone to know you are in good hands and this establishment is owned by very great people. They deserve 10 stars and in my eyes this should be voted motel of the year in TIME magazine. Thank you so much again for helping me!

Room was disgusting. Floors were filthy. Towels looked used. Fleas in one bed. There was a concert in town so rooms were at a minimum and they took full advantage of it. Charged $150 for one night instead of the $90 on expedia. That was after negotiating down from $200. I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay here.

We stayed at the Park Motel last Saturday night. Frankly, I can’t say a good word about it. Here’s a list of the disgusting filth that greeted us: ||The ceiling light in the room was loaded with dead bugs.||The bed sheets were badly, grossly stained.||The bath towels were badly stained and featured a clear lipstick outline!||There was a deodorant cap and a soap wrapper left lying on the floor.||There was some sort of food ( dog food) lying between the nightstand and the bed.||The wiring for the tv hung in open space. The remote barely worked.||We booked this room on Hotels.com. The rate was $60.00. The motel received a rating of 4.8. We had limited internet service in the car and assumed it was on a scale of 1-5. It wasn’t. Hotels.com uses a 10 point scale. When we checked in, the manager argued with my wife about the rate, insisting that he could rent the room for much more money.||||I’m not a snob, but this place was awful. The pictures don’t lie. They were taken when we arrived.

Filthy, rundown motel. Sheets had stains, floor so grungy my partner didn't even want to put luggage on it, drawers full of dirt, mold in the fridge, shower faucet fell off, dirty walls. Would not recommend anyone to stay here and pay money. It seems the positive reviews are largely from a time years ago under different management.

Our vehicle broke down and the repair shop was nearby so we went off location and booked a room. Unfortunately the room was less than desirable. No hot water, grungy floors, broken refrigerators (yes there were 2 in the room??) - even though it was a cheap hotel, still felt like we overpaid for what it was. The only nice feature in the room was the toilet!
