Park 12 - The Collection - Apartment rental agency in San Diego - 100 Park Plz, USA

We moved into the Tower building in just over a month now, thanks to Jose, and while we have to admit that there are issues and concerns, particularly around security and communal amenities that GreyStar seems slow to address, our experience with the on-site staff have been remarkable! Darius and Tim have been amazing with fixing any issues that have come up within the apartment, and the on-site management staff from Maleek to Danielle (hope that's the correct spelling of her name) have been encouraging. They seem highly committed to addressing the issues in the building and making sure the residents have a positive experience here. We love the security guards who are quite friendly and accommodating despite having a difficult job given the neighborhood, and the house-keeping staff could not possibly be any lovelier, they are just sweet and brighten up our days when we pass them in the hallways.

We moved to Park 12 couple weeks ago and everything has been absolutely amazing from the moment we started this process. The building is beautiful. They are well built. Although our apartment is facing Petco Park the noise is minor and has not been a bother for us. The security is great. The amenities are unlike anything I saw when I was touring other places. The parking is surprisingly easy with many open spots. I had already put in an application at another building, but I wanted to tour couple more properties before I make a final decision. I did a self-guided tour which was very user friendly, and I met with Valentino in the leasing office after. He is the main reason I am writing this review. He was very friendly from the beginning and gave me all the information needed. He showed me the actual unit and was very patient with me and all my questions. I was so impressed that I decided to put in a deposit and apply for the apartment although I had other tours scheduled for the rest of the day. He made everything very easy on us and met all our needs. I actually ended up switching units before our move in date and he never lost patience with and help me through all of that with the same friendly personality. I have needed his help couple of time after we moved in as well and he is always there to help. I have lived in many apartment complexes. I have me met a lot of good and bad staff members. I must say Valentino is the absolute best. I have also been helped by Daniel, Jose and others and they have all been great. Greystar has done a fantastic job with this building and the staff.

We have been apartment hunting for a few weeks, and Park12 is by far our number 1 choice. We worked with Jose R, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us all the information we needed up front and without bias to make our decision. He made the application process feel seamless and he really helped us during a confusing and exhausting time. Thanks Jose and thanks Park12. Can’t wait to move in next week!!!

Had a great stay at park 12, the facilities are amazing, the pool and spa were definitely a highlight! Maleek was extremely helpful with our questions and queries, I would happily stay here again!

Moving is always a stressful process no matter how prepared you are. But thank goodness for Valentino Ward my leasing agent. He did everything he could to make the process as easy as possible. From start to finish Valentino was right there helping me. If more leasing agents were like him, moving would definitely never be a problem. Thanks again.

Terrible experience. In the beginning the building was horrible. To the point of finding crack pipes in the landscaping. There was some improvement with the new management until it was time to receive my deposit back. I was told that it was a really simple process and I would just get an email, click a box and my deposit would be returned to me. It took longer than 21 days to issue a statement and it said that I owed them 39 dollars when I was expecting my deposit to be returned. I called and received no answer so I went back to the building to request assistance. Once I finally got an update, I did not owe 39 dollars, but I was actually owed around $1400. When I received the email that was supposed to be "super easy" in the words of management, I clicked the wrong box. I thought I was choosing the option to have the funds uploaded onto my debit card. But it was actually to create an online virtual card. I should've read the fine print. But instead I trusted the manager that said it was super easy. Very upsetting. I attempted to add the card to my online apps, didn't work. I tried to pay for something with it. That also didn't work. So I called Park 12 again and they were not able to give resolve this. They weren't even aware of this option, which is probably why they didn't explain the possibility. I came back to the complex 3 times, after my phone calls were not being answered and they finally put me in touch with accounts payable at Greystar. Accounts payable said that this was not reversible and to call the scam card people. I called and they shared that I am unable to use the card for anything besides online shopping. Why would I want to use my whole deposit for online shopping? That sounds pretty financially irresponsible. So I cannot recommend Park 12 or Greystar at this point. Do not trust them with your money. You might get a scam card back for online shopping.

Okay so it’s been about 3 months since we’ve moved in and I have to say, we absolutely love it here! Everything negative that we read about or were told have not happened to us. Jacuzzis are always broken - they’ve worked every time we have gone. Flooding in your apt - we live in the tower and have not had any problems with flooding. It’s funny because we hear about all these problems but we are having a blast and have only experienced minor problems with our apartment that have been fixed within a day. Maintenance team is top notch except for a couple loose screws but as long as Darius is on the team, you’re in great hands. Our stove wasn’t working so they replaced it with this amazing brand new one that has a built in AI Cleaner and also works as an Air Fryer. SUPER COOL! Staff and Security are friendly. Amenities are top tier. Oh and we absolutely love and use the dog washing area all the time. So much better than using our bath tub. We love it here!

I recently stayed at an airbnb at park 12, what a beautiful property. Great views and amenities! Adrian at the front desk was such a huge help and so friendly, made our stay nice and smooth. He gave us the best food recs. Will definitely rebook in the future :)
