I rented a Yurt. It was fun and relaxing time. The river is not as close as you may think. Unless you going to hike to it or walk it’s about 1.5 to 2 miles away so great exercise. There is no playground for the kids. The beach area by river is beautiful and clean. The park rangers were amazing and extremely welcoming. The bathroom and showers were constantly clean and sanitized. The problem the area we were in was to close to the freeway which is the I5 freeway. If I did little more research I would’ve changed spots. It was extremely loud at night and the morning.

Nice and sunny. But you can hear and see the freeway the entire time you're camping. Even down at the water. The nice thing is they have lots of picnic areas down by the water. The other thing I liked a lot is you can pick from a walk-in site starting at $12 a night at 2 RV site I believe for $45 night. So they all range in price depending on the site.

A great place to camp with outdoor water sports. Covered in trees with a beach and slow moving river.

As an adult with disabilities I would like to write this as a - 10! I reserved an ADA 5 months in only to find out when we get there that it is full of ruts and the asphalt was up heaving because of the roots of the trees! "TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!" I fell twice, the second time the worst as I ended up having to seek medical attention. When I spoke to the park ranger as well as the Ada representative for the state parks I was told that they were aware of many issues regarding the ADA camp spot, yet still allowed it to be rented and used. ....again, """""" TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! """""" The staff were quite pleasant, and the park was in pretty fair shape but not as good as it could be by far!

Was really surprised with how beautiful the trail is. Gorgeous view of the river and even a little waterfall in the woods. 10/10 and I will definitely return. Fairly easy trail, great for families, however trail is a little overgrown at points.

Never seen such arrogant host , spoiled our 2 days camping , no doubt why it’s less rated, Pros: zero Cons: 1: site was dirty uneven not fit for camping , 2: full of dust , poorly maintained walking path which has dust like off road mud, which is bad for health. 3: poorly maintained bathrooms , 4: hell lot of mosquitoes, specially near and inside toilet . 5;: i5 sound , it’s worst at night , 6; zero privacy between adjacent sites , 7: worst camp host, was very arrogant . 8: camp host will insist to vacate starting from 10 and knock at your site at 12 multiple times to vacate at 1pm . Hate this host . 9: no activities at this camp site, water place is far 0.5 miles away . Attached photos , plz never visit this site better stay at home or some parking place , wasted my money and vacation time ,

Pretty scenery located under an old highway bridge. Green and lush. Well kept and a quiet place to eat a snack , take a walk or sit back and read

Overall was happy with my reservation. Online reserving was easy. The bathrooms were reasonable but not spotless. The site itself was nice. Power and water worked. I was in site six and it was close to freeway. After booking and being on site seeing their brochure it does state this about the freeway noise. So beware. Did not have much privacy, but what drove us more mad was that some adults and kids would walk through sites. Please respect people's areas. The area does provide some leisurely activities. Felt safe with park rangers and maintenance crews driving through often during day hours.

We had the best afternoon. This park has so much shade and is right in the heart of Ridgefield. So great. They were having a block party and the Firemen were so nice and showed the kids their truck. Wish there were more picnic tables.

Really beautiful vineyard/winery in Northeast Ridgefield. One of the few real wineries around where they actually grow, make and bottle their own wines. Great tasting room with samplers, bottles or just glass fulls of many red and white varieties.
