Worst experience ever. Rooms have roaches, water super hot, light did not work, and was not clean. Front desk staff not friendly at all. They made a mistake and put my stuff out of the room and did not offer another room or a solution. They couldn't find my payment and it took a while to clear things up. I ended up without a room at 11:30pm. I don't recommend it please make sure you double check everyday your stay because nobody takes responsibility.
THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Rooms had roaches, the water was SUPER hot, light didn’t work, and it WASN’T clean at ALL. Front desk staff were very RUDE. They made a mistake and put my stuff out of the room without tell us anything. They didn’t offer another room or find a solution. They also couldn’t find my payment which told them a while to CLEAR THINGS UP. At the end I end up with no room at ALL. I don’t recommend this place at all. Only if you want to live with roaches and boiling water.
Staff are impolite and they ignore customers inquiries. Room has roaches not only in the room but also inside the mini refrigerator. Not cold water to shower. Not great in communication and receiving payments. Very unprofessional and dirty place. This place needs more training and how to take care of people and receiving payment. I was left without a room on my last day of vacation and they did not provided an explanation nor offered a solution or other room.
The good: Decent rooms, big bed and big bath tub with separate shower. Friendly and helpfull staff. Excellent housekeeping. Not too overpriced compared to other places. The bad: No microwaves in each room (only in lobby) Bathroom is infested with roaches. The deal breaker: BED BUGS! THEY HAVE BED BUGS!
Only good thing was Rooms were clean either than that I wouldn’t stay here again. Saw a couple roaches and that was not satisfying. WiFi didn’t work and if I was able to get connected it took forever to load. I know this isn’t a hotel problem but my girlfriend and I were not able to sleep due to other people staying walking back and fourth talking out load and being able to hear the people through the walls! Don’t usually review but to me it wasn’t worth 94$!!
This place is only getting two stars because of this .. We were sitting on the bed talking and i saw a small bug that i didnt recognize come out of the wooden headboard ..it crawled out and then crawled back in the wood as he tried to smash it . He didnt get it it just crawled back into the headboard obviously that critter lives there in the headboard. It was black and not a spider or a roach but i dont think bedbugs are that big do what was it ? In the morning as we were checking out the cops came into the parking lot and tried to bother us ..nothing became of it but why were they rolling thru at check out ? Not the hotels fault but still the last thing you want to deal with during check out . The room was number one . i did like that there were mirrors around the bed but im scared of whats behind them .
I payed for a room around 3:41am on New Years day, which according to the front desk clerk was a sweet and their last room. I was charged $100, and shortly after I went to sleep. When I awoke around 10am I looked and saw that my sheets had burned holes in them at multiple layers. I also saw that there were stains on the sheets where that covered me. I then got up to shower and saw hair in the bath tub. While getting dressed I noticed nail clippings on the floor, what looked like toothpaste and coffee stains on multiple walls and not to mention stains on the floor. When I spoke to the front desk clerk and asked for a reduced rate she said that there was nothing they could due because I didn't check my room prior to falling asleep. When I asked the front desk attendent her name she gave me a first and last name that was different from what other patrons called her. I left my name and number for the manager to call me and I have yet to recieve a call. The worst part is I later got little hives from the unsanitary conditions. I took pictures of all the examples that I disputed and showed the front desk clerk and she looked at them as if that was normal.
The staff is the starring attraction at The Paradise Lodge. They were most helpful from check in to check out. Helping us with our bags both out of and back into our vehicle without having been askëd. They were also very accommodating when we requested additional towels, pillows, shampoo and soap. The lobby features a literature library fully stocked with sightseeing information on dozens of Southern California tourist attractions that we found very helpful in our vacation planning and some even offered discounts that we were happy to take advantage of. The motel also has an easily accessible glass elevator servicing all three floors of the building. The motel also offers 24 hr unlimited free ice as well as juice, hot tea and coffee in the morning. A very pleasant stay overall.
