Paradise Inn NJ - Hotel in Wildwood - 235 E Wildwood Ave, USA

We were given room 303 as we paid extra for a kitchen area because we were travelling with our 1 year old baby. After being charged a $20 early check in fee, we moved our stuff in and unpacked all the kitchen and baby items then went out for the day. We came home later that evening to put the baby down to sleep and were faced with a very difficult night. The main window to the room faced the dark hallway on the 3rd level. Approximately 8:30 pm, 3 bright lights in the hallway turn on facing directly into our window. Our room did not have curtains! It had broken blinds that didn’t block out any light. I immediately went to the lobby to address this issue and was told the lights automatically turn off between 10 pm and 11pm and there was nothing else we could do. The lights didn’t turn off until 5:30 AM!!!! We were awake all night long. We waited for the office to open then voiced our experience with the awful night and were told they would put up curtains but then they didn’t have curtains available, so they were going to move our room. We had to wait for the people in room 302 to check out at 10 am, then they wanted to clean the room and have us check out of 303 and move into 302. We were not able to get our day started as planned so we could move rooms. While we waited for the room to be changed over for us to move out and into the new room, we got nasty comments from the cleaning ladies who were upset that they had to clean an extra room. (They normally clean each room every other day if requested). We wasted all morning waiting to move rooms and couldn’t get our day started until the afternoon. We eventually moved all our stuff to room 302, got situated and went out for the day. When we returned later that evening, we notice curtains hung in room 303. The next morning, when getting ready, we had no hot water. My husband and I both took showers in cold water with barely any water pressure. We could not bath the baby because the water was too cold. On our way out for the day, again I stopped into the office to advise the owner of this situation and he told me they were “working on the pipes”. I asked if it would be resolved when we get back later that evening to bath the baby. He assured me it would be fixed. Sure enough, it was not fixed and when we returned that evening the office was closed at 5 pm with a sign on the office door saying, “for emergencies call….” We were left with no hot water, no toilet paper, no soap, shampoo, conditioner, nothing since the cleaning ladies were pissed off about the room change and didn’t provide us with anything. Most of our outlets did not work and the refrigerator in our room kept going off. The owner repeatedly stated, “this is not a luxury hotel”. Clearly! Patio (it’s a couple chairs in a dark hallway). Free toiletries (weren’t provided after our move from one room to another). A bath (it was only a walk-in shower. Not conducive for a baby especially with no hot water or water pressure). Kitchenware (room 303 had pots and pans, no plates or cooking utensils. Room 302 no pots and pans, no cooking utensils but did have a couple plates.) An oven in a well-fitted kitchen (NO). Dining area/table (seating for 2 shoved in a corner of room). View: Patio (no view, it’s just walls and other room doors). Closet/Clothing Racks (no). No smoking (no).

new management and upgraded rooms! was pleasantly surprised when checking in since i booked this hotel based off some older photos. staff was so nice and helpful with parking instructions. rooms were upgraded and very nice which was more than we were expecting. wasnt planning to spend too much time in room since we are here for a festival but very happy with our choice!!! will for sure recommend and stay here again. pool is nice and clean wish i would have more time to enjoy the amenities! oh! came back to add that they also offer a grill to BBQ which is great for someone staying an extended time.

Perfect!! Way different then photos when i booked. Atmosphere was so relaxing for wildwood at night. Raghu and staff was pleasant and very helpful, even helped carry my luggage up the stairs. Clean in and outside!! Definitely booking again next year. Shower was AMAZING, my daughter didn't want to leave the pool. Best place I have stayed at yet

Showers are amazing! It’s only 1.5 blocks away from the boardwalk. Staff is friendly and very helpful. All my accommodations were met. It’s quiet at night so you are able to get a good night sleep. The grills are cleaned daily by the friendly cleaning staff that are always there to help, too. It was a great experience. Thank you for allowing my family to have such a wonderful time and experience while visiting wildwood. We will be coming back.

Positive: Hotel was very close to the boardwalk and attractions and was also pretty quiet. Pool was clean Negative: Parking is limited but they offer you parking pass to park on the street. It was nice but I had to park around the corner. Walking up to the second floor w/ a stroller and toddlers was a pain but not horrible. I gave ages so expected to be first floor

*NEW MANAGEMENT* Newly renovated, friendly staff, clean rooms, pool, 2 blocks away from boardwalk. Paradise inn is now one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in at wildwood. Old reviews doesn’t make it look good due to old management not taking care of it. The new management cleaned up the place and made it look like a brand new Inn. The pool has a nice patio with a grill and new cover tent. The rooms have a full fridge, and microwave. Bathroom is brand new, shower was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be staying again on our next vacation!! (Pictures are after we stayed in the room so the mess is ours)

The rooms need to be more equipped for vacation visitors. Our room had no blow dryer, no iron, no hangers, no hooks, and no where to hang or dry wet clothes and towels. The pool area was a mess too. There was broken glass on the ground, most of the lounge chairs were broken or falling apart, and the pool hand rail was broken with a large bolt sticking out of it under water which almost tore into my leg because it wasn't visible. When I called to ask if I needed to bring anything the rep said no, we have everything which is not true. The front desk rep promised me a first floor room then put us in a second floor one instead. However, I did like the shower, tv, air conditioner, and location. I won't be returning though, unless the price of the room is lowered.

Very pleased with rooms! Beds aren't the best but decent . Great showers, front desk accommodation and cleaning staff was impeccable. Very friendly from day 1 when we got here. Will definitely be returning!
