2 stars due to location only. i booked a Family Apartment for my uncle and cousins. it was suppose to be a full kitchen with a stove and full size fridge, and full size living room area. that is not what they got. only a mini fridge, and mini stove top. no pots or pans, no cups, no utensils whatsoever. hotel refuses to compensate for the HUGE downgrade with no explanation. parking is absolutely horrible, you have to find parking nearly 3 blocks away from the unit. they have a tow truck company that drives around waiting to tow your car.

Front desk was area busy. |One of the workers did help me with my bag since i wasn't sure where my room was. I had to call to get the iron and the utensils for the kitchen but the person who works there brought it very quickly. The supermarket is about a $9 ride if you're going to Walmart and maybe about the same amount if you're going to Publix. There was a awesome spot that I found called Nick's on the boardwalk and it was great because it was open until 4:00 a.m. literally a few steps away from the hotel. There were other spots as well but that one was just easy to get into and just have a great time. As far as food I have allergies so I kind of stick to the same places so I either did GrubHub or I did make some food that I purchased from the supermarket. I do feel like this is a great spot if you're not looking for anything too extravagant and you're more so worried about having an affordable place to relax and be able to go to the beach and the boardwalk often. I was in room 603 and there was no view of anything which now that i have grown and this was more of a self reflection trip i didn't mind. I must say I kept hearing a sound that seemed like a wash cycle constantly when I was actually in the room. Many times i was able to drown it out mentally but if you are sensative to sounds that room will NOT work for you. I did eventually ask and it was confirmed it was a laudry room literally right next door. All in all I would stay there again.

TAKE NOTE you have to check in at 1915 north ocean drive-theres no directions that tell u that or give address, and with US the phone lines were down at time of check in. This place is NOT a 5 star hotel but it was perfect all the same. Staff is MOODY, but they got the job done. Yes the buildings are old, but maintained the best as could be. Bed and linens were very comfortable (did have to ask for washcloths), the bike and chair rental and stuff is discounted, not included. Was surprised that they DO offer breakfast, but you have to walk about 2.5 blocks. We were in room 903, and it was amazing! We had 11 family members that joined us for the day, got a great discount on rented chairs and we sat along the boardwalk and on the beach and had an amazing time. Staff is not stuck in your bubble and u feel like u are in a vacation home. Rooms are small, but with room 903 we weren't in it much. Stove top didn't work but there was a single burner hot plate to use instead. Oven worked great! The room was VERY CLEAN, No pest problem. We had the rest of our party stay at the Hardrock, and everyone of them wished they had found our spot! Good job Hollywood beach Hotels, but try to be more present and see what and how your whole check in and informational process' are working.

I woke up to a giant dead roach on the ground. I hung some items in the closet and I forgot them.|My husband called first thing in the morning to make arrangements to have the items mailed to us as it was expensive shoes, clothing and a special jacket. Not only was the front desk person rude, showed no integrity, but he also hung up on my husband. He gave the attendant the room number, 2401, then stated the room hasn't even been re-booked, proceeded to state that nothing was in the room and hung up. He called again to ask for a manager and he was left on hold then hung up on. They hired a great photographer for the room pictures. NOT a 3 star hotel at all. The severe lack of integrity by the phone attendant left a terrible impression and a whole in my wallet for items lost.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, and I have traveled a lot. Things falling apart and depressing. This is part of a large group of hotels owned by Hollywood Beach Hotels. I was supposed to be in The Flamingo and they said there wasn't a room so they put me in this one. They charge $18 for a parking pass but there aren't enough spots, so it's still super hard to find parking. The neighborhood is not very pretty and is mostly made up of the other HBH, but the location is very near to the beach/boardwalk. Our room did not look out onto the beach, but some other rooms did. In the main office, there is a sign that says if you give them a five star review they will give you a gift, so they are bribing people to increase their online rating.

Update: the reply from owner shows how well they pay attention to guest concerns. I did not have an issue with bugs. It was all customer service and shady practices. Even though I had called and confirmed that I was booked into paradise oceanfront with a kitchenette and partial Oceanview when I checked I was told the room I was booked into just had a microwave and mini fridge and no view. They then tried to get me to pay an additional $600 for an upgrade to the room I had previously called to confirm. After the person that checked me in tried to negotiate with me by asking "how much are you willing to pay for the upgrade?"I said nothing because the"upgrade" is what I already paid for and confirmed. After agreeing to take the room without what I paid for miracously the room I was already booked into had a kitchen and Oceanview. This just seems like the property and managers have trained employees to get every dollar they can at checkin. I was aware of the resort fees and parking so I wasn't surprised with those charges. What I was surprised by was that the majority of the other guest I spoke to were not charged resort fees. (An additional $160)Additionally the Continental breakfast was closed before 9 am on multiple days of my 9 day vacation so I'm not sure what exactly the resort fees were for if they weren't reliable for the breakfast much less the dirty pool. Back to the room, it was not in the property that I booked. It was an okay room but after the money grab at checkin I just wanted to enjoy my vacation and HBH did nothing from start to end to make my only vacation of the year relaxing.

The stove in the mentioned room 901 was broken / cracked when I got the room . I had problems with getting and settling in the room because the door kept locking me out and maintenance had to come 3 times to fix the issue . Meanwhile that is when I noticed the stove . first I didn’t know I was supposed to report it but secondly , it’s an old building I was not cooking or anything so I left it alone . ||Your company has charged me $ 150 for this issue while I am not responsible for it . I did not destroy your property and I purposely left place immaculate in order to avoid any fees .||[email protected]||[email protected]||||This is the contact information I received from the front desk for correspondence but I have heard nothing from the company regarding this issue . ||||Please advise ||||Thanks
