Papaya Thai Cuisine and Sushi Bar - Thai restaurant in Richmond Hill - 2457 Hwy 17, USA

Soooo delicious. We had the sampler appetizer which was INCREDIBLE. My husband and I have both spent significant time in Thailand and this food compared beautifully. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki and he got the Stir Fry. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, and the portion sizes were just right. Of course we also got Mango & Sticky Rice which was to die for. Highly recommend this place!!!

My go to whenever I'm short on time or don't feel like cooking anything. Generous portions (we ALWAYS have enough for the next day) and any dish can be made vegetarian. Never had a bad meal.... everything is excellent.

We totally enjoyed this restaurant. You have to try the coconut shrimp...yum! There was three of us and we each ate something different. All three dishes were great. The server was on it. He was always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was adorable. It looks very small with a sense of elegance at the tables, but apparently there is another room in the back. I would say that prices were average also.

this location is good but the one in pooler is better. we both got boba teas for $5 each and the tea was still very warm with little ice. i ended up adding my ice water to it to cool it down. the sweet basil dish was delicious but serving size was small for the price. overall it’s good if you can’t go to the one in pooler

Flavorful food. Sushi was decent, can be better. Curries were great and something I will eat over and over. However pad thai was a shame after those curries.

I’m not from the south and I understand restaurants cater to the population they’re in and serve but this is just awful. I’m from Seattle and have traveled the world and have had very good Thai food. This isn’t supposed to be colorless and is not supposed to taste bland. I keep coming here thinking I’ll try something different but everything I try is just not good. I guess I’ll have to travel to Savannah or pooler for Thai food

Eaten here many times and usually have a good experience, but one bad experience will always linger. We order multiple items off the menu (pad Thai, sushi, dumplings, spring rolls). Everything was pretty good except the pad Thai. There was no sauce and the vegetables were undercooked. Called the restaurant to let them know. After being placed on hold for ~20mins they told us there wasn’t anything they could do to refund or comp since we ordered thru Uber. Learned two valuable lessons - perhaps look some where else for pad Thai and don’t use Uber eats in the future.

I want to calling to place a pick up order I was on hold for five minutes. Once I placed the order I was told it would take 30 minutes for the steamed dumpling appetizer and lamb chops to finish. The steamed dumplings were delicious. The curry sauce that came with the lamb chops was also delicious. The lamb chops themselves were smaller than expected and well done. My sister had the lamb chops yesterday and they were definitely bigger than the ones you see here.
