Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza - Pizza restaurant in Cambridge - 1870 2nd Ave SE, USA

Picked up dinner for the family last night and unfortunately everyone in the house got sick! Two with diarrhea and two throwing up and diarrhea as a bonus. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I tried to place an order yesterday but got denied my pizza. I ordered a half dairy free cheese - half chicken/regular cheese pizza. Got a phone call and was told they cannot make my pizza because it wasn't legal? (something along the lines of that.) I tried to explain I was the one who had the dairy issue and I was not allergic but was cut off before I was able to finish my explanation. He said he didn't know how I got my way around the menu but now he needs to contact his DM to fix the issue. At this point I mentioned I've ordered this same pizza several times prior at a different location, but he still said he would not make my order the way I ordered it. He offered to make a pizza with half dairy free cheese and the other half no cheese at all. I opted to cancel my order, which was done promptly. Years ago I managed a Papa John's and later worked at a Pizza Luce, so I've been in the pizza business myself. With my experience this is absolutely not the way I would have handled this situation at all. I was bummed at first, it was my birthday dinner and I was looking forward to having pizza. I don't get to have it much anymore due to my restricted diet. So I decided to order the same pizza from the Blaine location and picked it up with ease. I have ordered pizza at the Cambridge location many times before but never with dairy free cheese. My rating reflects all my times ordering from here, not just this time. Wanted to share my experience just in case anyone else who tries to order something similar.

Wayyyy too expensive for take and bake food! Spent $90 to feed family of 5... don't get me wrong- it's good pizza, but not for THAT much money!

Daryl helped Us and was a perfect gentleman. We got a Family size stuffed crust pizza it was excellent. Will return there again.

Person operating registration wasn't very friendly and was super slow at making 2 pizzas. It took him at least 15 minutes to do 2 pizzas

Just wanted to share my experience with this location. I attended a cancer benefit sometime back and purchased a year of pizzas coupon from this location for $250. What I thought I had purchased as 12 pizzas. What I failed to understand was that I didn't actually purchase 12 pizzas I purchased 12 pizzas that had to be eaten in 12 months one per month. I believe before this visit I used it 4 times for 4 pizzas. I paid $250 for the voucher thinking $25 per pizza and supporting the cause was a good deal. In my mind, the idea of a benefit isn't about value for your dollar it's about supporting the ones in need. The young man at the counter was top notch in customer service and was being helpful but the young lady came over and said my time limit was up. I did not recall seeing that on the voucher when I purchased it but she made it clear my offer was over. I'm not trying to bash this place as offering donations is huge in my book. I just wanted others to be aware this place evidently has expiration dates on donated items. I'm only giving the one star rating due to how unprofessional the young lady was that was working on 4/2. There are other ways to inform people of the rules and maybe understood how I felt leaving knowing I paid 62.50 for each pizza.

Not as good as they used to be a few years ago. Really light on the cheese!
