Panther Mountain Inn and Tavern - Featured Reviews (188)
Just a comment on the Tavern. We went on Sunday and Tuesday in August 2024 while staying on Brant Lake. On both nights their voicemail and website said they were open. On Sunday the bar was open but kitchen was closed. On Tuesday, neither was open. 😢. Best to call and speak to a person if you plan to go there!!
Small and family owned. It is a place you want to sleep and rest. And I have found it a great a place to rest and sleep after a long day of hiking or fishing. I have been going there for over 10 years.
On this snowy March night, I visited the Tavern. I had Thai wings and loaded potato skins. Both of which were amazing. The pool table was active, jukebox was playing music and place was alive. The bartender was friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place if your passing thru. Posted a pic of the radiator space heater in the bathroom, just cause it was odd.
One has to remember that the PMI is not a $400/night Hilton. With that in mind, we loved our stay. The staff were great, the food was good!. The mattress was wonderful. This is the number one most important factor. We got a good night's sleep. The town is quiet, the Inn was quiet. The room was sufficient, and clean!!, we would stay here anytime. Locals also come and enjoy dinner, the bar, and the bar tender. Great value for the price. Thank you.
Ordered pizza to go. Pizza was great! People were nice and friendly
The host was very helpful. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Right in town so walking distance to restaurants. |Our room developed a loud buzzing sound around ten or eleven pm. When I rang at the front desk, they were helpful and ended up letting us sleep in a different room while not having to move all our stuff. |The bathrooms needed a little deeper cleaning.
I was looking for a place to eat and saw that they were still open. It was almost 8:30 pm so I went in and ordered a burger and ordered a philly wrap for my mom and mozzarella sticks and a half order of buffalo wings for takeout. When I got home my mozzarella sticks were missing and the kitchen was now closed. She said that the next time I come in she would give me a free order or discount another order for the price. My mom said the wings were the best she had in a long time and they were jumbo wings. Lots of meat and cooked to perfection. She also loved her philly cheesesteak wrap and the portion was generous. My burger was an 8oz (half pound) burger with bacon and cheddar cheese. It was huge. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and fries. I ordered it medium well. It was moist and juicy but it had burned areas on the outside of the burger I did not like but that is a personal preference and I am rating this on the quality of the food. Now the French fries were freaking amazing. I am wondering if they are homemade because some had skins on but the were light and fluffy on the inside and had that crisp outside. The only thing is there is no salt on them and by the time I got home the salt wouldn't stick, but that's not their fault. I put them in the microwave for 30 seconds to warm them up, put salt on them, and closed the box and shook them up to get an even distribution and they were excellent. They were just as good as my uncles homemade fries. I have been back 3 times since then and the food is amazing. Their pizza is ok. I'm a tough critic on that coming from the Long island/NYC area so it takes a lot for me to give pizza a 5 star. I would say theirs is a good 3.5 while I would give their other food 5 stars. Definitely a great place to get a burger or wings and the pricing isn't bad for the generous portions you get. I think a whole order of fries was $4 If you are eating fries as a side to a meal item, a half order is plenty. I'm definitely adding them into places I frequent for takeout when I'm celebrating something and want to treat my mom & I to a good meal.
If I could give a zero I would. I never leave reviews, but we were denied service because I have a service dog and she was not allowed. And FYI the place smelled like smoke.
It's a shame I couldn't give Fern Lodge six stars. Peaceful, quiet, Adirondack lodge-style luxury, and yet, not over-the-top snooty. Wendy was a warm and friendly host, as was Sharon. Breakfast was amazing! The views of Friends Lake from our room an
Our favorite winter destination! This is an excellent place to teach kids to ski! Not into skiing? Bring your sleds, ice skates, snow shoes, or cross country skis! There is grisly something for everyone. There is a tow rope for the ski hill. The warm
Very good food with wonderful plating. Variety of dishes within the style of cuisine made it very difficult to choose because so many sounded great, sooo definitely will go back if possible to try more! The staff were friendly and informative, and th
