My family owns and runs this business and it's a great place to come and bring the family to hear love music twice a month. Good, clean fun. They have a concession stand and it's a small town kind of vibe.
They play country, rock, oldies and sometimes Christian music. There are drawings and give aways at intermission times. It's got a down home kind of feeling and that makes it a fun experience. It is a cash only establishment, and ticket prices are reasonable. Y'all come!
What a fun time! We took my 86-year-old mother for the first time since losing my dad. It was the perfect show to reintroduce her to Panhandle Opry, a venue she and my dad loved to visit. The Patsy Cline and Elvis tribute was wonderful. Thank you for bringing a real, heartfelt smile to her face. We'll definitely be back.
Gordon Porter is the owner/operator and he runs a wonderful family-friendly show. It's a very informal and friendly show that has plenty of regular attendees but also welcomes any newcomers with open arms. It is country music performed by local artists with some original songs mixed in. It is simply good fun for the entire family. They celebrate 40 years, in June 2019.
WOW❣️ The first time I went to the Panhandle Opry, I was awed by the performance of each member, their experience, their ages n yes, their dry sense of humor. I was HOOKED. I continue to go n with each show. I am so thankful n blessed to be amongst those who attend the shows. The folks that work behind the scenes n those of you who greet us n take time to answer questions...as the performer ready themselves to finish, we are asked to stand say the Pledge of Allegiance n join in singing "Amazing Grace" WOW, to be able to join in saying the Plege n sing, openly, without being criticized, it is HEARTWARM. Kudos to you ALL❣️
We took my father in law there to celebrate his 93rd birthday. He really enjoyed it and to our surprise (my husband and I are classic rock fans) we enjoyed it as well. Everyone was extremely talented and such a welcoming atmosphere. We will be going back.
Fantastic music & musicians. It was great. Singers were all good . Old country & other styles of music. Everyone in the band played & sang it was just awesome. Definitely go back again.

My family enjoys the music and atmosphere at Panhandle Opry. It is now the singular venue for enjoying casual, country music performers in the Destin / DeFuniak / Freeport / Mossy Head / Vernon area. Gilley’s Family Opry (Vernon) announced Friday, June 21, 2019, as their last show. Owners Charles and Edell sadly bid farewell to the fans and fantastic musicians they had assembled over the years. The Porters have welcomed at least one young musician who got his start at Gilley’s—Ashton Evans. Also, local Freeport teacher Kim Miller has powerful voice to create the sounds of your favorite old and new female country stars. The three generations of the Porter family love music and love performing. I hope they continue their shows for many years to come.

I started the Legacy class and have truly enjoying it which is hard for me to believe. I am 69 years and this is the best class I have ever been in. Out instructor, Sam, is wonderful. I have definitely seen improvement in my ability.
The Shrimp Po-boy is good but hold the bottom of it so your shrimp and the rest of it doesn't fall out. The onion rings are also great. She has the Square app so you can pay with debit card if you want, too.

Lovely hotel, and a great breakfast! We stopped on our way back from Disney, but I would be happy to go and stay there for a vacation. The bathroom was HUGE, with so much counter space and a lovely bathtub. 5 stars, I was very happy.
