Amazing site. It’s is a great history of the battle and the museums are great love the walk through a soldiers experience. The earthworks are a great walk and the recreated trenches are awesome for realization of the battle. It is a must stop for history people and non history people. The plantation and houses show the civilian life as well. And are just as important.

I just wish I had more time to spend here, there’s so much to see, and very friendly staff!

Top-notch facility with great artifacts including flags, rifles, uniforms and some period furnishings. Self-guided audio tour with dramatic visual interpretation of varying opinions regarding slavery. Important historical figures and details about the agricultural history of Virginia are discussed. I highly recommend it.

A gem. Amazing, interactive exhibits. Knowledgeable staff and entertaining tour guides. Update 6/28/2022: Had to kill some time with my four year old grandson, so I brought him here. He had a good time, rushing through most things. The "Trial by Fire' exhibit (think that's what it was called) was a bit too intense for him. Bottom-line--not an ideal place for younger children unless you spend most of your time outdoors. The staff was very patient and helpful. The gift shop was grandson's favorite place. He took a long time to choose a wooden cannon souvenir.

Great place to explore history! We stayed 5 hours and couldn't do it all! Lots if walking... what an excellent way for history and nature buffs to get their exercise;) the museum is so interesting. And for those who would rather listen than read, the players/ headphones are awesome. So to surmise, thr adult and child alike will enjoy this gem!

This place is great! Very well put together historical grounds and information centers. We came on a weekday in the afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. There are guided portions of the entire facility, or you can get an audio guide from the main building at the entrance. We elected to use the audio tour guide device and went throughout the grounds leaning as we went. The Tudor plantation was so neat, live animals and walk through out buildings immersed us in the time period. The house was set up as the troops would have had it when it was used as a headquarters. The slave houses on the grounds were very eye opening to the living quarters for a slave at a plantation. The battlefield area was set up as a replica of how battle positions and fields of fire would have been established. At the field camp, we were given a demonstration and and information on daily life for a soldier living in the field by two reenactors. Both did an excellent job answering questions and gave a demonstration of the rifles that would have been carried in battle. Beyond the recreated encampment, actual Confederate earthworks can be seen still intact. We spent several hours here and didn't even see everything. If someone wanted to take in all the available information at the Pamplin Historical Park, I would at least allow for 4-5 hours, but you could easily spend more time than that. 5 stars for sure.

I would tell every single person not to waste their 15.00 entrance fee. FAKE artifacts everywhere , and the small Amount of limited real artifacts.. Are NOT from the area..lol.. really! There are no interactive people outside, the “Big House” is a total joke.. marble -2x12 tiles on the wall .. what the heck is that..This place is a privately owned non prophet from a government grant… it’s nowhere near historical Jamestown.. don’t waste your $$$!

Never heard of this place until the day I visited it. Very interesting place that presented many facts about the area and the battles that occurred there. The Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the subject matter. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area and want to learn some history.

Lovely little cafe with a variety of freshly made pastry. The inside is nicely decorated- I enjoyed a bench seat upon a croissant-shaped cushion- and the staff are very kind and helpful. I stopped in with a friend and enjoyed a bacon, egg, and cheese

This was one of the best gyms that I have ever been too. Was only in the area for about 6 months and the ownership was happy to work with me in getting me a sweet deal. Gave me the yearly membership price even though I wasn’t there for long and all

I love history, even tragic history. We visited this park years ago, but the visitor center was closed. I'm glad it was open this time. The park ranger/guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The driving tour was easy to follow.
