This was an anniversary gift from my partner, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience! The canvas tent keeps it nice and cozy inside, and there's electricity with multiple outlets for your devices. It is even bigger in person, we booked the Rustic tent and it had a king size bed and was extremely spacious. Lots of walking trails and the bathrooms and showers are less than a minute walk. It comes with a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill, campfire area with seating, and picnic table. Dishes, wine glasses, silverware and a few pots and pans are stocked in the kitchen area as well as bath towels. They really thought of everything. You will need to bring or purchase your own fire wood.

My experience here is without words. If you're looking for a beautiful spot with great people around you and the pampered, wilderness is very pampered and upscale camping ground a little on the pricier side. But if you're doing, get a hotel room to go on a vacation about the same price. Lots to do. There's like 9 miles of trails. It's on almost a thousand acres of state parkland you name it? It's there before Labor Day. I don't remember when they open. They have a bar like swimming spots, fishing spots, trails, animals are welcome. Like what isn't there to say about the spot? Highly recommend

There aren't enough stars to show how much my husband and I LOVED our stay! It had all the peacefulness of car camping without needing to pack extensively. The lake was stunning, the trails were beautiful, the town wasn't far so it s easy to stock up on supplies. They had everything we needed to BBQ and enjoy the campfire. We did buy fire starter and brought a water filter for the water, but we were set! The bathrooms were regular camping bathrooms with flush toilets and token operated showers. It was a heavenly get a away! It was incredibly peaceful, plenty of space to relax at the campsite or in the tent, great weather, beautiful lake, easy long hike....bliss! The bed was so comfortable we took naps every day. We were so recharged!

I wanted to surprise my husband for our second anniversary so when Pampered Wilderness came up on Groupon, I thought it would be a great opportunity to blend his love of camping and the outdoors with my hope to spend some time just the two of us relaxing and without all the phones, TVs and emails. It was much more than I ever thought I'd pay for camping but it turned out to be well worth it.||||The booking was easy to do and the owners seemed very nice and available for any questions I had. I booked the Cozy Cottage as it looked like it was one of the more isolated spaces (even though it was the furthest from the bathroom and showers). I booked for a mid-week trip in late September so I thought we would avoid a lot of the summer campers.||||Needless to say, when we drove up to Millersylvania, I could see the look of confusion on my husband's face as he knew there was no tent or camp gear in the car. And when we finally pulled up to our little "haven" I knew I had done something right. He was surprised, happy and touched that I thought of this. the tent was perfect and had everything we needed....fridge, coffee maker, stuff for smores, heater, king sized bed, lights, microwave, popcorn, etc. ||||When we first arrived, the main reception was closed (very limited hours in the off season) so we went to the camp host to buy firewood. For 3 nights, we bought 2 packs of wood. The only downside was there was no kindling so starting the fire took a bit of work. We went to the local convenience store to stock up on a few supplies as we had brought very little with us (remember, this was a surprise). We found everything we needed but even if we didn't, there is a major grocery store only 20 min away in Olympia.||||The first night, we sat around the camp fire and relaxed. The second day, we drove 1.5 hours each way to Rainier for some hiking. The third day we wandered around the park trails (a good 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace). When we walked through the camp grounds, it was almost eerie how quite it was. There were a few people camping but overall, it was really quiet and relaxing. Late September was a perfect time to go. We did have a few loud "neighbours" in a couple of the tents down the lane from us but nothing over the top.||||Overall, we loved our little retreat and it will be an anniversary to remember!

The tents were wonderful and as described. Although if you are looking forward a private experience this is not the place. This park was packed and camp sites are fairly close. We arrived after dark only to find our tents locked with no code provided to us prior to arrival. The number provided stated they had 48 hours to respond to our call . The next day we were notified that their computers and WiFi were down so no code was able to be provided. Seems like they could have called? Just know if you stay here get your code prior to arrival.

We’re from Minnesota and wanted to experience glamping. My sister and I camp and backpack but wanted to experience luxury in the wilderness. The state park is absolutely beautiful. The towering pines and ferns took my breath away. The weather forecast was cool with rain and I was disappointed. However we enjoyed every moment knowing we were warm and dry as we fell asleep listening to the rain fall. We loved having morning coffee with the tent open enjoying the beauty of the morning. Other reviewers have commented about sites being too close or bathrooms not up to their expectations. However this wasn’t a problem for us because it’s no different than any other state park. We loved it and wish we were closer to do this more often. Leaving refreshed and relaxed. Great hiking and biking

Beautiful cottage which barely any bugs got in to, easy communication and check out-in process with hosts, not too many people around, fun trails , and overall great experience. Wish we could have rented bikes though. Would definitely recommend to for couples, family, and friends.
