Don't check into condo #1002 ! It's infested with tiny ants (that are hard to see), that's why we bought a can of ant spray. First you'll see them near the coffee pot. They are also surrounded at the corner of the patio and they also come in from under the master bathroom window. Also, all the knives here are super dull and need to go in the trash can! It takes 5-10 minutes to be able to slice up one potato. The coffee cups are pretty limited and will only last 1 morning for a family. The grill doesn't have any propane to cook with. When someone is on vacation, they don't want to go to store for propane. Also, there is one girl at the front desk that is quite rude and will laugh at your questions. Expensive and unreasonable cleaning fees here, and we left the place quite clean. The place has super thin blankets as well. I would expect a bit better for the price we paid.
Good stay otherwise.
Spacious and clean condo. Views from units down the hill are limited. A bit far to walk with beach chairs to the beach. Pool are not very large. Privacy curtains in mbr bath limited. Overall a nice property
We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The views of the ocean and other islands are beautiful, especially at sunset. The pool was always quiet, even when kids were there. You have to be careful around the pool, though, because the tile is slippery when wet. Our room was undated and had everything we needed. The staff were great and when asked would tell us great places to eat or things to do. Very accommodating and helpful. And the beach is right down the road. You could walk if you didn't have little kids or if you weren't taking a bunch of stuff with you. We drove, and always found parking. And the beach is kind of hidden and what a gem. You won't be disappointed by staying here.
We stayed here for 10 days. Beautiful room, great landscaping, large clean pool. Parking spot is assigned at no additional charge, another plus. Walk to the beautiful and relatively quiet beach is about 1/2 mile, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options within 1-2 miles on South Kihei Rd.
Beautiful views at both sunrise and sunset. The 2 bedroom condo is in a great location, just minutes from Kihei to the north and Turtle Town to the south. There is a public beach it is about a 10 walk from the condo, but there is also parking at the beach so we mainly drove. The condo was well furnished; full kitchen and a washer and dryer. They provide towels to use at the pool.|Nice size patio with a bbq grill, dining set and lounge chairs |There is a cleaning fee $300+ that was not included in our package |Check out was 10 am and our flight was not until 10 pm. They allowed us to us the pool for the day. |If I had asked earlier (at booking) I could have gotten a later check out
This was our second stay at The Palms of Wailea. We loved it the first time (Apr 2014) and we loved it again (June 2023). This time we booked 2 condos, #1205 and #406 for our expanded family. #1205 is a 2 BR ground unit with a garden view and was a short walk across the grounds from the pool. #406 is a 1 BR second floor unit near the pool. Room tips: ground units have less privacy because lots of people walk across the grass, We kept our sliding doors locked when we left the unit for the day. 2nd floor units can be left open and be cooled by the the ocean breeze. ||The 2 BR unit was very nice even though the furnishings were a little tired and worn. There were some minor issues such as scratches and chips on some of the wood furniture. One of the sliding doors was bent so it didn't slide easily and the coffee maker carafe was broken, but management repaired and replaced them right away. The tile floors needed washing but that could be due to being a ground floor unit with the doors open most of the time. Everything else was fine. The furniture was very comfortable both inside and outside on the lanai. All of the appliances worked well and were clean. We all enjoyed our meals on the lanai of this unit and appreciated the gas grill that was provided. This unit was usually very quiet. We could hear the sounds from the pool across the yard in the evenings, but that didn't bother us. ||The 1 BR unit was also very nice, but unfortunately had an ant problem. A good exterminator could solve that. We didn't want to have it sprayed while we were using it. This unit had beach equipment provided: chairs, umbrella & boogie boards. The proximity to the pool is great for those that want to be near it.||Overall we found the 2 units to be very comfortable and we enjoyed our time there very much. We didn't find anything wrong that was more than normal wear and tear, except for the ants. They were a nuisance, but manageable. If you want perfect conditions you can go to the higher priced resorts. If you want a comfortable, relaxing condo that meets all of your needs - including a big, lovely beach within walking distance (Keawakapu Beach) then I would recommend The Palms at Wailea. We love it there and plan to come back.
Absolutely awesome! Such a great place to stay! Friendly staff, great pool, next to beach, amazing apartment! Close to shops and buses we didn’t hire a car. Totally recommend!
Unit 405 was absolutely TERRIBLE. Spiders and other small bugs everywhere in Master bathroom. A dead cockroach was found when we checked in. Garbage Disposal was not working and water was leaking from the bottom of sink. Front Desk did not help us switch to a different, better unit. Expedia repeatedly contacted this property to ask for refund and they never did. TERRIBLE experience. Do not book.

Amazing facility located on one of the best beaches in Maui. Perfect for sunsets. Good snorkeling right to the south of the resort. Saw Eels, Turtles, Trigger fish etc... the main restaurant was under renovation while we were there. Also, some hot
I've been there for dinner a few times. It's a nice place, friendly staff. I haven't seen the rooms, but have heard they're a little small, as it was converted from old condo units. Play at the beach, sleep in the room.
(June 2023) Lunch or dinner, the food is amazing. We dined twice here and kept talking about the lilikoi dipping sauce that comes with the fruit plate.
The bar is in front of the pool so the kids can go take a dip. The only requirement is that they
