A great little hidden gem! The boardwalk is looong and offers great views of lake and wildlife! A real treat for the family.
Love the walk through Palm Island Park at sunset. There are so many opportunities for great photos and lots of wildlife to see. Gators, snakes, blue herons, turtles, raccoons, frogs, and even huge locust now. They really need to put together a Crew to pick up trash though. It's sad to see such a beautiful plot of land get so full of trash.
Very beautiful area. It's highly recommended for a family visit. Not too much traffic for the weekend. I couldn't find any restrooms in the area. Plenty of parking lots.
This is a really pretty park and boardwalk area over the water and through the wooded area. It was neat to get to visit and take a nice walk. I recommend visiting if you're ever in the area.
We stumbled upon this park while crossing through the beautiful little town of Mount Dora. The park has a really cool trail for a small hike. Half of the trail is on a boardwalk along the lake, and you can see lots of wildlife. The other half is through some native trees. We saw about 6 alligators, skinks, turtles, rabbits, and lots of grasshoppers. There are some nice picture spots as well. The trail is clear, so anyone can do it.
2023-11-01: This is a nice park with the highlight being the boardwalk overlooking Lake Dora. There are some trails leading away from the boardwalk and I plan to explore this park in the future. I heard Red-shouldered Hawks and a Great Horned Owl, but was unable to locate them.
Nice park. Love walking the boardwalk and enjoying the sights and sounds of this place. It is usually a nice quiet experience. It was very quiet on Labor day!
Absolutely beautiful! Nice boardwalk and also paths. Very cute town. 5*+
We regret not coming sooner. We loved their shakes! The owners were so helpful and friendly. Definitely a go-to when running errands or you missed a meal. Their menu is filled with protein, low sugar, and a variety of nutrients in every cup.
What a nice surprise in this adorable little town. Lots of local wildlife to see. In our short walk (30 minutes), weâve seen snakes, gators, turtles and dozens of birds

Best fried chicken Iâve had around here. Itâs hand battered and fried to order. They have an array of sauces and rubs to choose from. I got the chicken sandwich with mild Buffalo sauce, seasoned fries, and loaded street corn. Everything was hot a
We visited the flea market about 10 minutes away and wanted to explore the town. Very beautiful place to take pictures and just sit around on a bench and read or just have a conversation with your favorite person. We couldn't walk more around the are
