Palm Beach Shores Resort and Vacation Villas - Resort hotel in Palm Beach Shores - 181 S Ocean Ave, USA

Not sure why this place is a gold crown, silver maybe. It is a great location but a lot of it is dated.||||A few things we wish we had known that I didn't see addressed when reading reviews prior to booking:||1. The sleeper sofa is the old style with a thin mattress full of springs that no one wants to sleep on (except maybe little kids). We haven't seen one of those in a really long time so we didn't expect it. The sofa was too short for an average sized person (it just barely fit our 12 year old), thankfully we brought an air mattress that our teen used.||2. The 2 burners in the kitchen are so close together that you can't have 2 bigger pots going at the same time. The kitchen sink is really small. Plan your in room meals accordingly.||3. We had a 1 bedroom, and when we got in there we found out it was a lock out. That itself isn't a problem BUT its not a solid, tight sealed door. We could hear every word of our neighbor’s conversations! This could be a problem if you plan on having someone sleep in the living area.||4. They will not let you use the luggage carts yourself. And at 4pm check in it gets very busy. You could be waiting a while for your turn with the employee handling luggage carts, especially because they don't fill them as much as you or I might, so they take 2 or 3 trips to unload a single vehicle. We had a cooler on wheels we emptied first and then used to help us bring stuff to our room but it took us 4 trips.||5. The 1 bedroom we got was small. We have done a lot of trades with RCI and have never been in such a small space. It’s fine for 2 people but was really tight for 4 (2 adults, 1 tween, 1 teen). The bathroom is huge though, but dated and with really yellow lighting. Its all open, no separate toilet room.||||We loved Phil Foster Park & Peanut Island. We also did a day trip to Key Largo for a dive trip that was the highlight of our week.||||We would come back but only if we got a 2 bedroom. And we would pack lighter, or wait until Monday to check in when it would not be busy like Saturday & Sunday evenings are.

Mark and Jenn both are the very best of people. They are a big part of making our stays wonderful.||I have witnessed how they treat all their clients with respect and consideration.||Often going out of their way to make them feel welcome and wanted.||This is far above other places I've stayed.||||As for the Resort. We love going there a lot however, if they would get softer wheels on the large carts running on ceramic tile hallway floors that would be appreciated by all.

Wonderful vacation. The service was top-notch and really made our experience. I felt like I was on a cruise, with everything we needed right on the property. The room was comfortable and spacious. Very large bathroom with double sinks, shower, and tub. Comfortable king-sized bed. The kitchen enabled us to have breakfast, lunch, and cocktails in the room. We enjoyed the restaurant so much we didn't venture out to any nearby. Location on the beach with a pool to enjoy, too. We'll be back!

I go to Florida 2-3 times a year and this is the worst place I've stayed. We are not overly picky people. Room itself was okay - awesome view of the parking lot with car alarms going off every night.|Everything else - nightmare. I've never been nickel and dimed so much in my life!|60% of the parking lot is empty because it's for valet. There aren't enough spots for self park so it forces you to valet.|Want to bring your bags or groceries in on a luggage cart? Too bad. You have to hire an employee to have access to a cart.|The private beach is only for people who rent chairs for $40/day. Everyone who brought their own chairs have a six foot area to share on the sides of the rentals. The next condo's private beach then starts so you're on top of eachother. They kick you off if you set your stuff down.|The bar tenders at the pool were super nice but walk laps asking for you to buy drinks 100 times while you're there.|Laundry machines are $4 for the washer, $4 to dry. There's only one per floor and half don't work.|The power went out for HOURS during the hottest afternoon. No emergency lighting left the stairwells pitch dark. Everyone was using phone flashlights to get around. Hot water heater emptied all over our floor when it came back on.|If this was the only place available, I'd skip the trip.

After reading the last review before we arrived, We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort & service of our stay. The resort is older, but I considered the furniture comfortable and not deteriorating in any way. Everything was in working order and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE. My 13 year old said the pull out couch was comfortable too. Room was perfect size and had great view of ocean and when I voiced that the shower pressure was off, they came and replaced the whole shower head while we were at dinner, making the shower feel new! Great bartenders at tiki bar, great music entertainment, & 10/10 food from tiki bar and restaurant. The resort is in a convenient & Great location on the beach . The pool was murky on day 1, but better the next day. As a pool owner I understand how it takes 24 hours to turn things around. We can’t wait to come back!!

It was clean, well staffed, and had plenty of amenities. Very close to the beach. It's an older property so we had an issue with something in the room. Maintenance came within minutes and replaced the broken item. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great trip.

Forgot to write this 3 years ago. Went here for a honeymoon. Rooms are outdated, blood and hair on our bedsheets when we arrive. Don’t accept the free lunch voucher. You have to talk to a lady who tries to hard sell you on a time share. She was horrible at her job and was very pushy. I declined with ease, but others might not be able to do that. She also disrespected how much money we made since we were young? Other than that, pool is pretty nice and the view is nice. That lady just makes the experience horrific. Bartenders and restaurant were awesome though!

The hospitality team was very friendly, accommodating, and courteous. The valet parking was a wonderful addition. Downside was the water pressure and temperature. At peak times of showering to get ready to leave for the day there was not enough water pressure and no warm water. They could certainly upgrade the showerheads, shower, and tub. The restaurant food was not all that good and service there was awful. The restaurant area could definitely use an upgrade. The easy walk to the beach was amazing.
