We just stayed here for a week of family skiing. The rooms are really dated. They’re clean, but they won’t come clean the rooms at all, or give you replacement towels or anything, without charging you extra. When I inquired about towels at the front desk midway through our trip, they told me that “they’re not a hotel,” and they would charge me $25 for new towels. The towels in the room are for the pool as well, by the way. For $1000/night, we got a set of towels for each person in our family for a 6 night stay, no maid service, and we paid a resort fee for the pool/hot tub/gym. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. The room was a 1 bedroom studio with a second queen sized bed in the kitchen. I would not recommend.

Really enjoyed our short stay here in mid August. There are excellent trails heading from the resort. Facilities are very good and staff friendly and helpful. There are a few good outlets around although the place was very quiet given its main purpose as a ski resort. Blues night was great fun and obviously attracts a lot of local characters

This was perfect. I went just after most of the snow was gone and during the celebrity golf tournament so there was a good crowd. The hotel was great, very cozy and the staff was accommodating! the free parking was a nice touch too. Peace of mind while traveling was enjoyed. Full kitchen, cute lighting, room warming fireplace, clean bathroom and affordable …10/10

I booked this place primarily for the location to get ski in/out access at Palisades. The Palisades Tahoe Lodge is certainly good for that. ||The front desk people were courteous, nice, and helpful. They were happy to answer any questions that I had. The parking structure is connected to the lodge and made it easy to bring my stuff to and from the condo. The resort fees were worth it just for that. ||The 1 bedroom condo was very clean. It has sufficient space for 4 people. I would say it’s good for a couple or a couple + 2 kids. The kitchen is well supplied with a kitchen towel, paper towels, sponge, dish and dishwasher soap, plates, cups, mugs, bowls, coffee maker with filters (Mr. coffee) with a couple packs of coffee grounds, cooking and eating utensils, pots and pans. I only used the stove to cook breakfast and used the microwave to heat up prepped meals. It was real nice to be able to ski to the condo to eat lunch and rest up before heading out for afternoon skiing. ||The Queen sized bed was comfortable. The sheets and pillows were comfortable and soft, not itchy at all. The overall layout of the condo works well. The bathroom has two doors that allow access to the bedroom and to the main area. There was enough room in the foyer area to lay down my wet skis boots, and poles onto a towel on the floor. I brought my own towel for my skis. ||I had a good experience at Palisades Tahoe Lodge. I completed two excellent days of skiing. While the room cost is on the higher side, it justified the value added for the convenience of staying at the resort. ||I give the lodge a rating of 4 circles. The room does need some cosmetic modernization with the cabinets, doors, moldings, and couch. Otherwise, I would have easily given it 5 circles.

Be aware: they are advertising for a newly renovated hotel - beside the reception and the spa area, it is not renovated. When we first arrived at 11pm, after a long drive, we were welcomed by an awful bacon smell mixed with a « heater dust » smell in our room. Because they were fully booked, they couldn’t do anything and we had to somehow fall sleep in this burnt bacon coated room. The next day, when we inquired for some sort of solution, the person at the reception had for only answer « it’s the down side of having a kitchen in the room ». Well for $500 a night, we were definitely expecting for more, even with a kitchen in the room. They ended up clearing some of the smell while we were out by using some scented deodorizing product. On top of that, the room was outdated and dangerous (sharp screws sticking out the bathroom cabinet!)I will never come back and I will definitely speak bad about this place, as they are taking advantages of their customers and offering 0 customer services. We had to beg to have one night of resort fee taken off our bill, as the front desk people were not helpful, and unapologetic. Pass, the ski in ski out is not even that convenient.

If winter, you won’t find a better location in the Olympic Valley. Just steps away from the lifts, you’ll be able to use your unit as a base. The property is not too big, not too small and recently updated throughout all the common areas. All the restaurants and shops are easily accessible as well. I loved the steam room, even more than the outdoor hot tub. There are also indoor hot tubs. All in all the overall scale and vibe of Palisades is really nice.

The Lodge is a wonderful resort. It's located just a block from the Village at Squaw Valley and adjacent to the aerial tram. It has it's own parking garage and great outdoor pool for summer guests. The staff is very helpful and can answer all your questions about things to see and do in the area. The rooms are fantastic! See photos.

My experience with this place is that you can expect noise problems about half the time, inadequate or broken kitchen appliances about 1/3 of the time, and failure to honor room requests most of the time. It's at the low end of ski-in ski-out at Palisades, though, so my experience is also that no amount of complaining will help. But as long as you accept that and lower your expectations, you probably won't be disappointed.
