Do not stay here. Made a reservation for 2 adults plus pets for a few nights while PCS’ing back to the mainland from Guam. Check in was fine, no problems. The next evening, came back from dinner with my wife and mother to cops and security outside our door. One of our dogs had been barking and there were complaints from two other rooms. Fair enough, barking dogs suck, but an easy problem to solve. Security said that he heard voices inside when he knocked on the door, which he imagined. We were at dinner, with a receipt in hand to prove we weren’t there. Security guy still didn’t believe we were gone. No call on the cell number I gave them at check in either because the security guy heard voices inside. Showed the manager at the front desk my reservation with pets on it. Didn’t matter, she said I failed to inform them I had dogs. They asked us to leave the hotel immediately.
When I checked in, with a pet reservation mind you, they gave no additional info. But apparently they have a policy of no pets over 35 lbs, which 2 of ours were. This was not relayed at check in. From our perspective as guests, their first course of action for a barking dog was to contact the police and immediately remove us and 12 bags + kennels. And to refund 106.17 of the original 871 charge.
If you stay here, especially with pets, don’t have the audacity to leave your room to get dinner. They will call the cops.
"Local" hotel for locals -- or returning kama'aina. Super convenient, walking distance to Don Qui, Ala Moana, Starbucks, Walmart, and Wholesale Unlimited (;-) The breakfast tickets were bonus! Parking on the makai side was limited, but there was ample parking in the mauka side structure (just beyond Sorabol). Lots of restaurants along Keeaumoku, so that was nice, too. Front desk was friendly and helpful for any questions or needs.
Didn’t get off to a great start! Paid for the room for a full week in advance on Expedia only to be told at check in that the ”amenities” are not included. I had to $33.08 per day at check in (in advance) to stay there. Thought that was good? I also had to pay (in advance) $31.00 a day to park in their lot. That’s $448.06 extra to check in. Ya it is an old hotel and the window air conditioner was very noisy!
No frills hotel. The carpet needs a thorough shampoo. Old soap was still in the shower soap dish. Some weird film on the bathroom mirror. The location was convenient. Check-in was a bit slow. Staff was friendly enough. On the plus side, the room was spacious with a table and chairs plus a separate reading chair.
When making reservation was advised by Fidel that taxes and fees would be waived at check-in, he confirmed with supervisor. Upon check-in front desk clerk said no that’s not true and not sure where he got that information so I said OK I will contact him and get this figured out. We checked in and got in elevator, keys would not work to take us to the room. Someone else helped us get up there got to our room keys did not work. Had to call down front desk to have someone let us in our room, went down after a bit Got new keys made few hours later. Prior to getting ready for bed A baby cockroach is crawling on the bed! wake up to see a baby roach on the floor and baby roaches crawling around in the bathroom on the counter. later that evening went to the front desk asked if they can do something about the roaches and they said that they could spray so I said OK not realizing that someone would be knocking on my door at 9 PM to spray our room as we are getting ready to sleep! Next morning I go to the front desk and ask them if they Had some thing for the roaches (as they are coming through a crack on the bathroom counter and I see two more baby roaches on the bathroom floor ) Such as roach traps, the front desk lady states that guest normally buy their own and they don’t provide that. That statement from the agent already tells me that this is an ongoing issue so of course I speak those words back to her which means this is an ongoing problem, we head out for the day come back and our room is not cleaned, call down to the front desk to see when our room will get cleaned and they advised that they clean every fourth day??? Well, no wonder they have a cockroach problem! Do not stay there unless you want to sleep with one eye open, I definitely do not recommend this place. You get what you pay for.
The Pagoda Hotel in Honolulu is old and it looks it age. It is in need of some serious upgrades and with all the construction going on around the area they will need to address it sooner rather than later.
However, it is not all doom and gloom, their staff are the most obliging people I have ever met in all my life. The Korean restaurant, the breakfast area, the front desk, the guy in the shop, the cleaners, etc. I was disappointed after I got to my room, but then the staff made the magic, they're all smiling and happy, they love their work and it shows. If you take a chance with them, they will make your day.
I WAS DISGUSTED. NOTHING WAS UPDATED!! there was a foul spell as soon as I went up to my room. THE BATHROOM was completely outdated.... HAD FREAKEN STAINS ON IN THE BATHROOM AROUND THE TOILET !! the shower head had to be at least a decade old because it had crum around and looked like mold was growing!!!! the windo was cracked. I HAD SUCH HORRIBLE ROOM SERVCE couldnt get anything to my room unless I asked twice o if I accidentally met a worker in my hall!!! I swear and for only 4nights it had to pay almost 1,000 bucks!!! if I knew that I would of gotten a room at hilton!!! The place looked like nothing that was advertise !! if I could I would give it beyond terible
Came here for business. A good option for a budget hotel. Hotels old, room was a little dirty, but the beds were comfortable and they had parking available. Staff was very helpful! I asked for a parking pass for only part of my stay and they were fine with it- was able to extend my pass a few days without problem- and when I had to check out early they were accommodating and understanding.
The convenience store is well stocked with the basics and some gifts to take home. Always a security guard at the guard station. Didn't try the restaurant next door, but the hotel gives you a buncha 5 dollar coupons when you check in for it. The rooms a good choice if you don't expect to be in your hotel 24/7, but I could definitely see myself staying there for a rainy day without feeling too coped up. Wifi is slow, but can still be used for browsing well enough. The parking lot directly attached to the hotel only has a 15 or so spots- I couldn't get a spot one night, but you can park in the parking garage next to the restaurant next door thanks to the parking pass.
The hotel is very nice and modern. Everything is new and in good condition. The location is very central close to everything. I stayed in the ocean view room for 6 nights. The view is very pretty, and you can see Friday night fireworks from my bedroo

Ono, soo ono. If you enjoy the taste and feel of each bite in your mouth, this is the place for local, healthy, ono eats. Fresh every single time. This is the first time in my life that I have eaten at one restaurant three (3) times IN THE FIRST WEEK
Shoot was - as expected - amazing. Stunning mastery of technique, patter, and showmanship. Hilarious sense of humour, was great at working the crowd and had a lot of warmth and heart incorporated into his performance, and the story he told throughout

I have been searching and searching for great biscuits and gravy like I used to get back in Texas, and OMG these were so so so so much better than that. Did something different and went with the chicken biscuits and gravy and was happily surprised at
