We ended up here by mistake, and fell in love with this place . Our van got sideswiped by a truck on our way to Yellowstone and this was the nearest place to overland while we got our rear view mirror in the mail. We stayed a whole 9 days and it was magical . The water was clean the fishing was amazing and the sunsets were out of this world. We found free camping and since it was off season there wasn't many people. Beautiful!!!
Our family had a chance to spend the afternoon here and really enjoyed it! The entrance fee is only $7 and we’ll worth it! The only downside is that the sand is kinda rocky and not smooth.
Beautiful lake in the Black Hills with a nice public beach
Just stopped to sight see and use the facilities on our way to Mt Rushmore. Nice picturesque lake surrounded by the Blackhills. Would like to boat and fish here...maybe next trip.
One of the most beautiful and serene places I have ever seen while out on my motorcycle. I was in town for Sturgis, not sure where I was heading when all of a sudden the trees disappeared and the reservoir was all around me. Like many I stopped at the pull off as just took in the surroundings. Truly a wonderful location.
We stopped to view the scenic overlook while we were driving to explore other sites around the black hills. A beautiful area and worth to stop! Would be fun to spend a day out on the reservoir!!
Amazing view. Highly recommend you to see
Absolutely stunning. There is no doubt God worked up a masterpiece when He made this place. I highly recommend stopping to take it in.
