Went to Empress Seafood Restaurant for a private luncheon. The food was okay. They had a set menu. The restaurant itself is old, dated and doesn't feel very clean. They had part of the restaurant converted to storage area and it was stacked with empty boxes haphazardly which was visible from outside the restaurant as you were approaching it and it was visible once you were inside. It was rather unsightly to see in a restaurant and not a good impression. The food was okay but the chicken dish was very salty. Overall this restaurant needs an overhaul, deep cleaned and updated. It has definitely seen better days. Since we didn't have din sum, I can't really comment on that. See photos for the dishes we ate. I did not get photos of all the dishes. The chashu was good and so was the shumai which we finished. (Sorry no photos of these two dishes)
Love the real Japanese market and all it's food. As someone who once lived in Japan, it is so refreshing to find this store. The Chinese restaurant also has the best dim sum.
I usually get vegan noodles here, but this is an awesome lil store to shop. They have a wide variety of products meats, produce ,wines, beer saki ,it's a must to go see.
There are two places I visit in that square. One is Tokyo Central and a the other a restaurant called Seafood Empress or something. I used to have relatives in that area so we often had dinner for special occasions. Now my youngest lives in that area so I go visit him.
Superior shopping mall especially for Japanese food, medicines, books. Meiji Pharmacy, Book Off, Pacific Market, Fukagawa, OKO, Akanè Chaya Restaurants, Nikuman∼ya concession.
The shops are very good but the parking lot is lumpier than my grandmother's gravy. Poor wheelchair accessibility.
Went to OKO Cafe (nice drinks and AWESOME interior, was like being in a painting), 88 Pocha (delicious Korean food), and Tokyo Central (biggest Japanese market I've seen in the US, SO COOL).
This plaza has a Tokyo market, various restaurants, tea and coffee spots and ample parking. For tea, coffee and boba there is sunmerry , tea station, oko cafe, pruvia coffee. There is -8 degrees rolled ice cream spot. There is a bowl thai grill, sweet rice Thai food, sea empress seafood, pizza machine with their bulgogi calzones and so much more. There's a bookoff store, a hairdresser, a real estate sales office and a pharmacy.

One of the few traditional mochi and wagashi made by a traditional Japanese family from Japan. I â¤ï¸ this place and always buy Chikara Mochi here, Tokyo Central, or at Nijiya markets.
