Great location. Beautiful old Victorian. The rooms are small, not a lot of room to move around or put things. It was nice overall but rather noisy. You can hear every flush, shower and sink in the building. The doors and windows rattle. Conversations in the stairwell, hallways and parking lot could be heard with ease from our room. If you are looking for an old historical inn this is it. We could walk to many locations with ease. Plenty of parking on the street and in the lot.

Wonderful room. Lots of charm. Easy check in. The location is a block away from Main Street. Minus: the people in the other rooms were up very early and they were loud. The parking spots are not wide enough for a car and another car to park side by side. I don’t know who measured them but they need to be at least two feet wider just to get in to the car.

No frills hotel in a nice house and amazing location. I've stayed here three separate weekends during the past year, and been happy every time. The back house is still nice and probably a bit more private and quiet than the front house. We can walk from here to nice restaurants, stores, and sites along the bay. I like staying in Pacific Grove. There is no desk or on-site staff, so you can't leave things before check-in or after check-out. I've only seen the people who clean rooms when you leave. I always book through the Inn's website. I don't recall anyone calling to ask for my credit card. Certainly it didn't happen this most recent stay. The room descriptions on the website are accurate if you read them carefully. There's a fridge in the common area with notepad and pen for marking things. The internet has been reliable. When I had trouble with the internet one time, I called support and explained the issue, emphasizing that multiple devices had an issue. So, the support person reset the WiFi and it worked again. We usually get a room with a balcony, and those can be nice to sit on. Otherwise, we mostly just sleep in the rooms. Every room we've used has a shower and no bathtub. The house is quite nice with wood features and nice original looking windows. The beds can be very soft.

Cute little place with lots of history. Parking is provided but the lot is a bit small. Entirely self service with an online check in. We didn’t need anything, but phone numbers are available to the innkeepers if you do. Communal fridge was handy. Room was clean. Just a short walk to lover’s point. Would stay here again!

Great little place with rustic rooms, it's an old house so don't expect major luxury. Very clean, quiet except for some very loud upstairs neighbors which was not the fault of the hotel. Had a decent view of the ocean although a bit far away. Good central location, fairly close to Cannery Row.

It is a pretty place, but I'd try another if I returned. Not that it was bad, more challenging. If you have an issue with stairs you might look elsewhere. Parking is narrow and limited. We never did get the wifi to work, we ended up using our Hotspot. We got a 2 bdrm suite with a common room between. The bedrooms had tvs, but the common room was just a couch. To wind down together for the day we either had to be in a bedroom or use my laptop in the common room. We used the laptop with Hotspot. My room on the 3rd floor had a twin bed, fine by me, but it was not comfortable. The sides were ultra soft. When sleeping you need to be in the middle or you'll end up on a tilt. The service was... self service. All done by phone. The service people sound like they are in another country - I mean the connection is like talking into a hollow drum. And those on the other end have rich accents that definitely make you feel like you are talking to scammers. When checking in you need to validate your info and credit card. It was not a good feeling, but yes everything was fine. The back door has a ramp, but is kept closed, you need to go through the front which has stairs. I mention all of the above just for information. It was not a bad place, just challenging. It was clean and and easy location to get to where you want to go.

Mixed bag experience. Nice area, nice building, but with drawbacks. To start with, check in was 4. We got there at 6, but had to leave because of loud hammering carpet work. They said that it would be done in a half hour. We came back at 8 and they were still hammering away. If you rent it, get some information about the upgrade work during rental times. The owner gives us a lame apology below. They didn’t help when we contacted them, they never offered my partner a discount and they are not saying that it won't happen again. She only harps on her sales point about how nice the area is. This is basically a self service rooming house. The recent work doesn't enhance or restore this wonderful old building. The inside feels like a cheap hotel, carpet included. Molding around doors and windows is glued on cosmetic decorations. There is a refrigerator downstairs. Our room had a gas fireplace. Bathrooms were worked into small spaces. Hot water was functional. The nearby neighborhood lives up to the promise. The store at 2 blocks was very nice. We also found a nice coffee shop and a bar with live music. I have mixed feelings about staying there again. Probably not.

Oh how shocked I am on how you have chosen to advertise yourself as being a beautiful Yellow Victorian Home. (1st pix - Notice Blue House) Yet I stayed in this ugly, SMELLY, run down blue house behind it... felt like the hired help quarters. (2nd pix) we didn't have the luxury of seeing the inside of the building that we thought we were staying at!!! No person there... Everything is over phone... They keep the code to get in room hostage until u verbally give u your credit card over the phone even tho I paid for the room in advance. Carpet filthy... Love to go barefoot... But not in this room. (3rd pix) Look at this luxurious tub....(4th pix) Bed.. so hard.... That your hips will feel it all night long. Look at this decorating for a supposed VICTORIAN HOUSE STAY? (5th pix) My favorite thing about the room is the way they folded the towel! On a towel rack that doesn't work. (6th pix) SHAME on you for not being forth coming about the blue house we rented a room from.. because that yellow one is not it. That is LYING to your customers. I came for a relaxing stay to recooperate from the FUNERAL of my kids Dad... And the MORNING before also we found my NEPHEW DEAD in his home... And then dealt with phone calls from a man who had a strong accent that I had a hard time understanding who gave meno assistance to the issues that I had. One being.. I had a code for the WIFI, yet I didn't know what WIFI name it was.. they gave me the name that didn't exist..gave me a second one...that one didn't exist...I even rebooted my phone to make sure the issue wasn't on MY end...I GAVE UP!!!! I wish I could get my money back from THIS added nightmare from my week... Honesty is the Best Policy... Let us decide if we want to stay in the Blue House! With one tiny frig for all rooms.. one microwave for all rooms.. UGH... Pacific Grove.... I expected sooooo much more. I used to live in area for decades... Rise up in your standards!!!!!

Wasn't sure what to expect, so I'm trying to give as detailed of a review as possible so that hopefully whoever sees it has a good idea of what they're paying for. The rooms were smaller than expected. But if you're intending to be out the whole day

Great little B&B that is centrally located in Pacific Grove. Walking distance to cannery row, the aquarium and the monarch butterfly sanctuary. The rooms were clean and everything worked well (for such an old house). We had no problems. There is a ni

A wonderful place to sit and reflect. The crashing waves are always intriguing. There is a path between several benches in the area. A great place to enjoy while on a coastal walk or bike ride.
