Pacific Edge Hotel - Featured Reviews (1442)
I booked room under their new name "Pacific Edge Oceanfront Hotel" yet most of the rooms apparently face the road, including mine. Very misleading surely. Room was rundown and too bright at night owing to bright lights on the motel-style walkway outside and the poor blinds, lack of curtains. Barely slept even with mask. AC noisy with no quiet/night mode. Valet parking is too expensive at $45. I have been a long term customer for 2 years now but will stay at other places in future. Great location though and good access to beach if you value that.
We were treated very poorly by the valet staff who would not allow me to drop off my disabled mother at our room door, instead they made her walk the extra distance across the whole parking lot. She’s 81 years old and has a broken, deformed foot and walks with a walker. The valet said, “our new management doesn’t allow you to drive through the parking lot. Only we can.” So I adked if the valet would drive my mom to the door and was told.” New management doesn’t allow us to be in the car with anyone due to heavy covid protocols.” They made her walk every time. :( New management also took away guest laundry. You now need to walk a few blocks with your laundry and waste a 1/2 day in a laundromat. Our family has been coming here for decades. We love this place, despite its shabby appearance. It’s right on the Pacific Ocean and itused to feel like a deal to stay here. But management keeps price gouging without updating amenities. It’s really gone downhill. :(
Everything was great! Great service. Great area. Close to everything like food and stores. Rooms were clean. Big hot tub. Path to the beach which had free lounge chairs and umbrellas. Beautiful. The only downfalls were that the hotel was kind of a maze and we had to walk far and take two elevators to our particular room. The other thing is the pool area and rooms could use some updating. The water temp was odd in our room, would get super hot the super cold, was hard to find the mid temp.
Just returned from a restful and enjoyable stay at the Pacific Edge hotel for my mother-in-law’s milestone birthday. While there was initially a small snafu with our hotel reservation, Maria handled and fixed the situation with the utmost professionalism and a very friendly demeanor!||The oceanfront rooms offer a superb view of the ocean, complete with a balcony; we could even hear the waves crash from inside our room with the balcony door closed. (Note that the hotel does have multiple buildings and room types so not all rooms are “oceanfront”).||We also had brunch at the hotel restaurant, Driftwood Kitchen and really enjoyed our meal there.||Docking one star only because the valet parking payment situation wasn’t handled the greatest. Essentially we used the valet parking for brunch before we checked in as recommended (since it’s the same valet as the hotel) but somehow they said it was necessary for us to be charged twice: $16 first to park at the restaurant and then again the $45 overnight maximum rate for hotel guests. It seems like the most reasonable solution in situations like that would be to just charge the $45.
This hotel looks beautiful in pictures but the rooms are awful. We stayed in room 5 and it wreaked of the strongest perfume/cologne. It was like an old lady died in there. Really bad. We tried to air it out but it would not go away. Our clothes wreaked of it when we got home. It felt like we paid for a four seasons experience and instead got a Holiday inn one. The shower was horrible, no power to it. Things were falling apart off the walls. Not worth the price. There’s probably better beachfront hotels worth the price tag. Very disappointed especially because it was my birthday weekend.
They offered valet parking overnight $45 so that took the stress of looking for parking away. Allowed early check in which was really nice! The view was amazing, sounds of the waves, the bed and pillows are so comfortable. Lots of shops nearby to take a stroll.
You’re paying for the location. The room was sparse, walls in need of painting, dented furniture, tiny window AC etc etc…but it was fine for our needs, which was really just a clean place to crash. Bring ear-plugs because the walls are thin.
On the other hand, it was really fun to be so close to the action. We took advantage of the complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas and had an amazing day lounging at the beach.
You’re just a few blocks from all the main shops and restaurants, and an easy walk to the Pageant of the Masters (why we were in town) and the Sawdust Festival.
The valet staff were super friendly. If you want to keep your car on the premise it’s $45 a night.
Would stay here again? Probably. Unless there was a nicer option for a similar price.
I was so excited to stay on the beach with my kids. It had been 10 years since I had been to California. The photos online looked amazing and Kiki was so helpful booking the reservation. When I got there my military discount was declined because I didn’t book online. With all of the extra fees the cost of the room nearly doubled and that was not shared until I arrived. You have to use their valet. The attendant was amazing but that was an extra fee. No microwave which is really hard when you have a child with dietary restrictions. A small piece of metal was on the room floor and went in my foot. The room looked nothing like online. The bathroom light fixture has a thick layer of dust on it. Several recess lighting is not flush with the ceiling. The screen door didn’t work and had huge wholes in it. To say that it did not meet our expectations is an understatement.
Relaxing, calm, scenic, just a few words to describe Casa Laguna Hotel. So many nooks and crannies to get lost in and relax in quiet peace. There's a heated pool and hot tub and more than a dozen patio tables and furniture tucked away in out of the
My husband and I had a last minute staycation for my birthday. The front desk person was very inviting with a complementary glass of wine and helpful guide of the hotel.
Loved the fire pit and the coziness of the cafe lights, ocean views. Very clean
Lovely location and staff. La Casa Del Camino is really in a nice spot, only a breezy mile walk away from the action, so itâs not loud at the hotel. The views are great if youâre staying on the second floor or higher. And they have a great roofto
Stayed only one night but so enjoyable! Perche is a lovely room with a soaker tub and shower in-one! Had a light dinner at the bar and a fantastic breakfast (that was included in the room rate). Kevin, the bartender, made some great drinks and we cha
I am embarrassed to write this review so late. We moved to Laguna Beach on Oct. 29th, 2023. We didn't even have an apt. yet so we stayed at the Inn for two weeks. We reserved a room facing PCH because we weren't on vacation and just moved from Haw
