Pacific Crest Hotel - Featured Reviews (121)
Awful! I had a renovated room, and it still left a lot to be desired. No place to sit other than on the bed, leaky shower head, etc. Housekeeping poor - sandy floor, no coffee in room, etc. But the worst thing was that they were doing construction on the room next door STARTING AT 7 AM! Loud music, power saws, drills, etc. I understand that they probably need to stay open under construction, but don't rent rooms that are near the construction zone! Has the potential to be a nice place, but they won't have many customers at this rate.
If you are lucky enough to get one of remodeled rooms that match the pics that they advertise online, then this may be a completely different experience for you. However, I was not so lucky. I was given an outdated room that was not remodeled and also looked like it had not been cleaned properly. There was not even a chair to sit in. The floors were dirty/dusty and the towels had stains on them. My view was of a wall, and there was construction going on next door till late in the night.Unfortunately I got all this while still paying over $300 a night. I definitely feel like it was a bait and switch.
I feel compelled to write a review here to warn other travelers that their photos of the room are only partially true. The hotel is actively going through a remodel, which means that if you are lucky or if you know to request in advance, you can request for a remodeled room that actually matches the pic and description. If you fail to do so, you may be victim to a bait and switch and be assigned to an older room tucked away that did not go through the remodeling process yet. The older rooms are worn down and dirty and even lacking in furniture. Not fair to advertise one type of room and then downgrade you to an older, dirtier one that has not been remodeled yet.
So nowhere did it state on the website that this hotel was under renovation. We arrived and once we entered the room it had a strong odor of paint. When settling in we opened the closet to find no bar to hang our clothes. We were not told that they were upgrading the internet the last day we were there, so unfortunately no service on our mobile devices. Also no phone in our room. The last night we were there my wife and myself were getting ready to call it a night and pulled back the sheets to find a huge stained foot print on the fitted sheet. We were told it's under new management and only received we are sorry. It's not a bad hotel just bad management.
More motel-y than hotel-y. Location great walkable distance to the beach and maybe 15-20min walk to the wharf.
Parking is free but first come first serve. Otherwise you'd have to find parking on the street.
The room was fine itself. No mini fridge, no microwave. Our room's TV did not have any signal at all even with trying to adjust the wires behind the TV. Main light in the room was dim so had to use all the other lights available. No deadbolt lock on the door which I tend to prefer especially since anybody could walk around the hotel premises.
Wifi was so bad, even reception was bad my phone could not get a decent signal. So would not recommend to stay here if you need wifi signal.
Towels were dirty, there were flies in the room. The WiFi and the pool were not working … we honestly did not pay for this and the customer service was disappointing. Bad experience overall. The hotel is well located but we won’t come back again.
While the location was amazing, the rooms were just ok, and the service was not great. They were doing some repainting and work the entire weekend in the middle of July. It was irritating to have to walk all the way around to use the staircase.
Room is not as advertised. They show pictures of remdodeled bathrooms and rooms but give you the crappier one. Pictures showed towels folded nicely in a fan, all the amendments there. We didnt get that at all nor even tissue paper. A king size bed is really a full size (its smaller than my queen size at home). They didnt let us know that there would be construction so you hear them work 15 ft away from your room with power tools throughout the whole day. They were moving lots of large furniture and passed our room a lot bumping into things making a lot of noise. No 24 hr concierge and they are only here a small handful of hours per day. Would not recommend this place at all.
The only good thing is that there was plenty of parking on prem and on street and it was a block from the beach.

The best F45 I've been to. Class was packed with almost 50 members. All the coaches, specifically Coach Katrina, found time to motivate and challenge me through one of the best workouts I've had in months.
