I love this beach! I've been here multiple times in the last couple of years, and it's always a lovely place to visit. I will admit, it is a very popular beach so there are usually lots of people here and parking can be hard to find on busy weekends. But the "hike" up the dune is fun, and there are always nice views from the top! I brought the dog once and had no issues with sand fleas like pups occasionally get on Oregon beaches.
This is my wife's favorite beach. It is huge, with plenty of area for family's to play, for boats to be launched into the surf, and for surfers to set up their camps. While we were there today someone had brought their camels and was walking them up the sand mountain. It was a magical day!
In my opinion this is the best beach on the Oregon coast. I love the pelican brewery here too. My kids have the most fun here and it feels less touristy than other beaches.
Absolute best beach in Oregon, great surfing even during the summer months; great hiking up the cape, lots of room. Pretty bad parking situation (which is supposed to improve with the recent project).
The worst part about the beach is that it's a working Beach for the Dory Boats. The charter boats and their drivers are generally pretty nice, but if you go during a contentious time with bad tides or swell, the fishermen can get pretty short. They're dodging people left and right all summer, and they're not very often nice about it. They're very entitled to this beach, a lot of them can be downright rude and dangerous. I've often been out surfing during the midsummer months and Dory boats will just drive right through the lineup without even honking a horn.
The beach gets extremely packed during the summer, but there's plenty of space to sprawl out and lots to see during low tide in the tide pools. Wonderful hiking up and over the cape, with lots of dangerous spots so please be aware.
Stunning beach with amazing views! To take it up a notch, climb the dunes for even better views!
Pacific City is my favorite town on the entire Oregon Coast. We stayed here and arrived just before sunset. It was spectacular. For my money, the Haystack Rock in Pacific City is pound for pound, the best one. When you drive into town, it appears slowly in the distance giving you a eerie feeling that was utterly awe-inspiring.
The parking lot backs up directly to the beach and you can spend the day with your truck nearby. There are also a few cool little shops in this area.
This beach is a great place to explore. Even if you don't hike all the way up the massive dunes to Cape Kiwanda Point, there is still plenty to see. This is one of the more populated beaches we visited, but still not too many people around.
I have a feeling that Pacific City gets overlooked between Newport and Cannon Beach, but it should not be. It is a great little town and the seaside has much to offer. Be sure to stop by!
Beautiful beach for viewing late summer sunsets!
This is truly a must see and have time to relax. Incredibly beautiful!
A wonderful restaurant in Pacific City! Used to be called, The Tidewater. They have yummy French Dip sandwiches and french fries and Fish and Chips! Brought back memories as my husband and his band used to play live music there! Had a window table to
We love coming here each summer. The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, and the kids' park is fantastic. Our only gripe was the washrooms/ showers. They were filthy, empty of toilet paper, and soap. We were very disappointed by the state of
Came here a bunch on our vacation to the Headlands and I was SO IMPRESSED by the service. Staff were super nice and efficient. I was watching their line and just really impressed by how smoothly things were running. Line was literally out the door, a
